start with a detox system... that cleans out your colon.
it gets rid of all the extra stuff in there and you can start fresh.... it should take off a couple of inches, and then start drinking about 8-10 glasses of water a day. 30 minutes of cardio 3-5 times a week gets rid of the fat and do 40 regular sit ups and 40 side crunches (each side), twice a day 3-5 times a week for definition. also, make sure you eat plenty of green veggies....its not about how much you eat... but what you eat that makes you gain weight.

I am 6'3 as well and can eat a lot. You need to cut down your meals into portion control. Having 5 small meals is better than 3 big meals. Yes. Consume 6-8 glasses of water daily. That will help. Also, try to start doing cardio in the morning if possible. Do abs at night 3 sets of 20 each to start off, every other night. Stay away from bread, pasta, rice (brown is better), and desserts.

Male bodies tend to store fat reserves in mid section while female bodies store it more all over the place.
the only way to get rid of your belly is to lower body fat percentage which you do by healthy diet and wright exercise
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
