If you took a one time dose of 1200 mg you'd probably be okay. Prescription strength ibuprofen is 800 mg/dose every 6-8 hours. If you continue to take 1200 mg/dose you could cause serious bleeding problems and damage your kidneys. Hope this helps.

Maximum dose for Ibuprofen (Motrin/Advil) is 2400 mg/24 hours with the usual doses being 400 mg - 600 mg every 6 hours or maximum dose of 800 mg every 8 hours. Maximum dose for Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is 4000 mg/24 hours. Long term use of Ibuprofen is linked not only to possible ulcers but also the possiblity of causing kidney damage. These medications are available over the counter to be used for short term. Even when prescribed by your doctor for chronic pain, they should be used for as short of a time period as possible. If you must use them on a chronic basis, you should try to have a "holiday" period from them for about a 7-10 day period and then use again for a short while then a "holiday" again, etc. If your pain is that chronic, you should discuss your use of this and any other additional prescription medications as well as over the counter medications with your doctor as some medications do interact. The seizure medicaitons should not be that much of an issue but you did not indicate which seizure medication. There may be a possible risk of interaction of the seizure medication with Acetaminophen (Tylenol) since they are both "cleared" out of the body by the liver and thus having both in the system may affect the level of the other to higher than expected levels. Please discuss with your doctor.

This much should numb any pain such as back pains & menstrual cramps during your period. However, I would recommend that you take it after a full meal, otherwise, you'll probably throw up. If you only take it once or a few times this way, it won't kill your liver, but I don't recommend making this a habit.

Taking that in one shot? Rip your stomach to shreds. Over a day? Not a good plan either unless directed by a doctor. Your liver will start to exact revenge.
