Did he pull it out of a hat, or was it always there?

If he created it, what did he create it from?

This question is best answered by God Himself.

I sure do love that baby of yours. Such a cute face with fat little cheeks. :)

That is an excellent question which our brains are to tiny to comprehend. Although i really think you mean where did God come from, because if he created everything, then he created matter and stuff used to create more stuff.

Nonetheless, i personally choose to no longer ponder, it just gives me a headache.

Although many Christians would disagree with me, I also choose not to ponder heaven to much, since I will find out when i get there and i need to worry about today first. And because i know that my tiny sinful brain can't even comprehend the coolness of heaven.

My faith is not shaken by the fact that i can't answer this question, because evolutionist have the same question, and it can't be answered. In order for a big bang, something had to have banged right?

First of all I subscribe to no religion. I believe in a creator which may be physical as well as energy. I don't know, I like to think there are races of such beings.

I can't pretend to know where the matter came from I've questioned this also. I tend to think that like life on earth matter evolves.

I can give you a great example of how something springs from nothing. My son... this human did not exist until conception. The elements were here my tiny ova , hubby's tinier spermatozoa, there was potential but nothing tangible that even resembled a human until conception then the subsequent birth. Now here he is 6'5" 230 lbs of tangible mass and I distinctly recall a time when he was not in the world.

We all got here the same way and we all came from nothing, we didn't always exist.

Assume God DIDN'T create everything.

Where did the stuff come from? Did it come out of a hat?

He spoke it into existence in accordance with Genesis 1:3.
And according to the specified statements in several textbooks and science magazines that it was soundwaves that caused the particles (matter) within the 'cosmic egg' to heat up to such intensity that it created friction and photon light burst forth (at a speed of 186,282.397 miles per second)causing the "Big Bang."
When someone speaks... soundwaves come forth from their mouths. Correct?
so science and the Bible are in agreement in that respect because science says "soundwaves caused photon light to burst forth from the 'nothingness' that was the preexistent universe creating all that we know" and the Bible says "And God said let there be light."
Its the exact same explanation except the bible's is simpler (so that a 3yr old could understand) and credits God not a cosmic accident).

OK, this should not even be a question.

E=MC² is your answer.

(for those that don't understand: Energy equals matter at the speed of light squared. This is an equation, which means that that you could reverse the equation to this: M=E/C² matter equals energy over the speed of light squared)

I think this is a bigger problem for evolutionist than creationist, because creationist at least have the source of abundant energy to support their claim. Unless you actually believe that a group of tacions that move (as appears) in and out of existence are responsible for everything.

If you are an evolutionist, let me know. I'm going to Vegas, and I need your kind of luck!

It must have been made from something according to the law of conservation of mass-energy. Since he made that law, he can be expected to obey it. After all, he's the one who made the law that someone had to die for our sins, and we know he obeyed that law rather than simply change it, right?

So either the matter was always there, or was made by another creator-god who has different rules.

Deanr - No, it was simply always here since the beginning of time (which began at the big bang). You are familiar with the concept of something always existing, right? Or does that violate some fundamental principle?

Perhaps you need a refreshing look at the definition of "create":

1. to cause to come into being, as something unique that would not naturally evolve or that is not made by ordinary processes.
2. to evolve from one's own thought or imagination, as a work of art or an invention.

He spoke, and it was created. Same way you spoke, and this question was created.

He spoke. Words are vibrations, as are the Strings of String Theory. Those Strings created a quantum singularity which scientists today call a 'cosmic egg'. Then, it went BANG!

The universe is filled with atoms. What God did was put it together the right way so everything worked. That is why God is a genius.
