Running will get you nice hips, yoga will stretch all your muscles, pilates will tone and tighten.

My problem area is my stomach, too. I started doing pilates (specifically a routine that targets abs and back) 4 - 5 time a week, a 45 minute routine. It has really toned up my stomach, I've noticed a lot more definition and I've gone from a size 14 to a size 8 in about 6 months. I also walk about 3 miles every other day, and try and work in some aerobic routines, because even though the pilates strengthens and tones your stomach, you still need to do some aerobic exercises in order to loose the fat as well. And be sure to eat right and drink lots of water!

Yoga and pilates may help you build a bit of strength initially, but your body will soon adapt to its own weight and your results will stagnate. Best thing for shedding some unwanted fat is sprints. 100m and 200m are good distances. They are far superior to yoga, pilates, jogging, walking, rowing machine, etc. for calorie burning. They will also help you get some lean, strong, sexy legs. For upper body you need weight training with heavy weights. There's no other way, it's as simple as that.

since we cant spot reduce body fat the only way to get rid of fat on any place on your body (e.g. belly or hips) is by lowering body fat percentage which you achieve by healthy diet and exercise.
do cardio 4-6 times a week for average of 45min
to tone your abs you can do crunches 15-30reps 2-4 sets 2-3 times a week
you can do weighted hula hoop for 10min twice a week
pilates is a good way of toning your body all over - 3 times a week is enough (never work on the same muscle group two days in a row)
diet is 75% of the whole weight loss (never deprive your body because you can lose fat only if create a slight deficit in daily caloric intake)
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
