Sorry you're having a hard time. Here are some things that help me. Different ones seem to work at different times.
I remember previous answered prayers and blessings God has done for me. There are a lot of them! It helps me realize that God will help me through this also.
I go for a long walk. Sometimes while walking I pray, sometimes I think, sometimes I sulk, sometimes I just walk. This works more for me if it's sunny than if it's raining usually.
I exercise. Running helps me clear my head. I think taking care of our body is a godly thing to do. (I have to admit I'm a hypocrite here and I don't exercise consistently. Running does help me when I'm down though.)
It helps me if I can see that it will be better someday. Especially if I'm frustrated by a mistake I did. I realize that tomorrow is brand new.
Catching up on my sleep helps. Sometimes I overdo it and I get discouraged just because my mind is crazy tired.
Shopping helps for some reason. I cannot find a Bible verse to support it though. I definitely don't recommend blowing your budget or letting it become a habit. I don't know that it's that bad once in a while though and sometimes getting myself a small gift I've been wanting just helps. New clothes, or new CD or whatever gets my mind off of my problems just for a bit. Happy late birthday?
It sometimes helps me to realize it could be a test to make me stronger. David's life was in danger. Joseph was sold into slavery and sent to prison. On and on. God was with them in these times. They became great and powerful for God!

I will give some steps...that God has been giving me...
1. Address the problem.
2. Dont be offensive....God hasnt done anything to us...God is a good God and anything bad that is happening to us is a direct result of the enemy...
3. Ask God what is it that you must do...He will tell you...If you want to gert an answer...get in tune with God...he speaks to all of us...but the people who dont hear him...are on the wrong channel...they have ears but dont hear and eyes but dont see...
4. Implement whatever it is he told you to do...
5. continue in prayer...which consist of petition, praise, and thanksgiving...
Just a sidebar...I had been feeling really down lately but I didnt know what it was...I would just be up and down...and yesterday someone mentioned that I might be despondent...but I knew it wasnt that...so I was just spending time with God and he showed me that it was anxiety...I am over that...but Philippians 4:6 says to Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;...when God led me to the scripture...weight was lifted off of me...it felt sooo good! Well anyway God bless you

Find a friend that will help you be encouraged through a tuff time. Going through storms can be discouraging but knowing that there is someone there to help you carry that burden some how makes me feel better. It amazes me how God can bring a friend into your life to remind you of how wonderful He is and how much He loves you. I'm here if you need a sister in Christ to help you carry your burdens. God bless!

Do you think you may have depression? A good way for me to beat the blahs is to take a class. Lowe's and Home Depot give classes on Saturday mornings. They are usually free, and you learn fun and helpful things like how to repair a screen or how to do some faux painting techniques. You also meet some new people.
That always encourages me to go home and start a new project. It gets me excited about life again.

Satan is the author of all discouragement.
If we have turned from our sins to God, believed in the finished work
of the Lord Jesus and have called on him as Lord & savior, then God is our heavenly father. He is always on our side against sin and the devil. We should refuse to be discouraged because there is no problem that our God cannot solve. He is able to fill our minds with joy and peace.
Phil. 4:6
Let's cast our burdens at his feet and trust him to take care of us. It's good to meditate on how much God loves us.
There is a wonderful hymn that comes to mind.
Who can cheer the heart like Jesus, here it is.
Who can cheer the heart like Je-sus,
By His pres-ence all di-vine?
True and ten-der, pure and pre-cious,
O how blest to call Him mine!
chorus
All that thrills my soul is Je-sus;
He is more than life to me;
And the fair-est of ten thou-sand,
In my bless-ed Lord I see.
verse 2
Love of Christ so freely given,
Grace of God beyond degree,
Mercy higher than the heaven,
Deeper than the deepest sea.
verse 3
What a wonderful redemption!
Never can a mortal know
How my sin, tho' red like crimson,
Can be whiter than the snow.
verse 4
Ev'ry need His hand supplying,
Ev'ry good in Him I see;
On His strength divine relying,
He is all in all to me.
verse 5
By the crystal flowing river
With the ransomed I will sing,
And forever and forever
Praise and glorify the King.
Here are some verses, that have encouraged me.
God is telling you "I've never quit loving you and never will.
Expect love, love, and more love!
And so now I'll start over with you and build you up again, Jer. 31:3 (free paraphrase of message)
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jer. 29:11
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10
I have prayed for you, God bless!

No doubt many responders will tell you to pray. Do not believe them; it is a waste of time. Rather, recognize that the sun will rise in the morning, birds will sing, flowers bloom, there is interesting and useful work to be done, and people who can care about you. Go forth and conquer.
