Think about it. Satan is already in Hell supposedly and running things quite nicely according to that demented Dante. But what happens when Satan is thrown into the Lake? Who takes over?

Dante was a reniassiance PR spin doctor for the Catholic church. He wrote about hell as if he had been there, which of course he hadn't. It was all just his imagination.
That having been said the biggest mistake I perceive that people make about Satan is to think he is like a man. Interestingly this is the exact same mistake people make about God. I wonder why we humans love to make God and the natural forces so humanlike? Maybe we just don't know any better.
No one will ever take over hell because hell is a state of mind, not a place. Satan and God live within you, hell or heaven is in your own consciousness. This inner doorway within each of us is the narrow path, the gateway to eternity. You may not believe me now, but one day you will see it all very clearly. As the enlightened saint Yuz Aseph once said, "It isnt what goes into your mouth that pollutes a man, it is what comes out that does damage."

To tell you in theological sense there are 3 forms of hell, one is sheol the place where dead spirits go, other one is floating in an open space in the darkness, which is so thick that nothing can pass it. Now this second hell contains Satan & all his fallen angels & he works from there & hence we get the saying in the bible, " forces of darkness" from here.

An Angel must be the keeper of the Hell, very powerful Angel.

The third & the last hell will appear after the Bema judgement & it is the lake of fire.
Note : Hell will not be a lake of fire till the Bema judgement does not occur.

Well as a Muslim... we believe Satan is free to run around loose and tempt us and lead us astray - on the Day of Judgment everyone - including Satan will answer to Allah for their deeds and be sent to Paradise or to Hell. Hell has seven levels, whose fuel is men and stones (there may be a lake of fire, I don't know and nobody here really knows as nobody has been to hell and back to tell us). The gate to hell is guarded by an Angel, and Satan even though he was created from fire will suffer in Hell's fire.

Note that Hell and Death are themselves thrown into the Lake of Fire along with Satan. He should feel right at home with all of his playthings.

No one runs Hell, (correction, God is in control of all creation) but anyone who is in Hell will not be concerned with anything other than their own suffering. The lake of fire, eternal damnation is that...eternal suffering...it's not going to be a party with no rules...and it's not going to be a group of friends getting together talking about the old days. It's eternal torment for those who chose to rebel against God and those who deny Christ and reject the pardon/the gift of eternal life He offers us even now if we only believe in Him.

If a person does not have Jesus Christ as their savior, it means they will have to pay the penalty for breaking God's Commandments all by themselves, and no one is innocent. No one will be found not guilty without Jesus Christ to take their sins from them before the judgment.

Seek Christ and be saved before it's too late. No one knows how long they have to live, but while today is today...seek Christ, because we may not get a tomorrow.

The angel that secures the gates of hellfire
who is commanded by the Lord only they cannot bend any will for they have none.
They are made from light they are the lords most obedient servants they can never fall.

The devil was made from fire and smoke he has been given free will along side the rest of the Jinn "spirits" that is why he made a choice he was given one.. are you serously telling me that one angel or 2 only fell, and they are the most powerful hahha that is just mental! for those who think angels fall, I ask you who is holding the moon in position why is the sun not leaking into eternity, and what is holding all the planets in perfect order?

Satan never was in charge of hell. The Holy Bible (which predates the Koran and the old scriptures were found and the KJV is not found "changed") says to fear HIM who can destroy you in hell and the Holy Bible makes it clear only to fear GOD. Also that they shall be tormented before the LAMB and HIS Holy angels, the LAMB is shown in John and Revelations to be JESUS CHRIST. In Psalms King David asks where can he go that GOD (Yahweh) is not, "...if I make my bed in hell, behold there you are..."
