you should definitely go on one of the ny sightseeing double decker tours. its like $50 per person, but i think it lasts for 3 days. you can get on and off at desginated locations. im 15 and whenever people come over we do that. its so interesting and fun.. you can learn about the city and see a lot!!

also, the empire state building, top of the rockefeller, statue of liberty, time square, and central park are must-sees. sometimes they have free outdoor concerts and stuff. take the subway, too.. just be careful about pickpockets ive heard it happen once or twice.

theres soo many things you can do that i probably dont even know of but just explore nyc and it will be a blast =]]

edit: oh yea i forgot about broadway shows (not really my cup of tea) and museums. grab some good ny pizza or a hot dog at a hot dog stand while youre at it hehe.. oh and shopping!! lol i could go on an on...

First of all, you should buy a good guidebook, and that will answer your questions. And give you a map.

Also, there are websites for tourists.

I recommend: Musuem of Modern Art, Guggenheim Museum, Metropolitan museum, Central Park, the site where John Lennon was shot, Rockefeller Center, Statute of Liberty. Empire State Building, try some great restaurants, Fifth Avenue, Broadway plays, David Letterman show, etc.
