You should definately be putting some kind of moisturizer on after you wash your face. When you wash your face you open up all your pours which makes your skin more vunerable to everything around you than normal. You should get a skin care collection, clinique has a great one for men and women. Also if you go to the mall often any one of the make up specialists can walk you through a way to properly care for your skin.

before you moisturise, perhaps use a toner to clear your skin of all the dirt that may have gathered during the day. If you're washing up before bed, then its a good idea to use a toner, because while you sleep your face could gather dust from the pillow etc but if you're washing your face 2 times a day, then that shouldnt be a problem, as when you wake up you'd cleanse that all off. if you want to prevent spots further, if you have acne or want to prevent acne in the future, try using a face wash that contains salicylic acid, but definetly use moisturiser after. Salicylic acid is the "spot fighting ingredient" the commercials waffle on about! Its in neutrogena products and clean and clear. Good luck!

You should always use a moisturiser. Contrary to popular belief they do not make you spotty - dry aggravated skin is more likely to break out. Look for a moisturiser that suits you skin type. Garnier, Olay and Nivea all do light ones which are designed for younger skin prone to oiliness. I would suggest you use a wash-off cleanser rather than soap. It doesn't need to be expensive - Boots and Superdrug both do own brand ones for round about the £1.00 mark.

a moisturizure does not attract dirt, if it is too greasey then yes you might get spots, but a good moisturizer will soften your skin and help. Don't use any kind of cream, make sure it is one for faces - and if you have oilly skin get the right cream for it. Any drug store or walmart will have what you are looking for

You can use a toner to add back the moisture. Its like a liquid solution. Usually looks like water, but it has vitamins and stuff included so that it can restore moisture into the face. Then you can put the lotion on top of the toner if you choose.

I love Oil of Olay SPF 15 ,for daily use.

You should alwys put moisturizer on your face and it should have a spf of 8.This might not make any difference day to day but it will year to year and make you look younger as you age. Im 49 but dont more than 37. I have used moisturizer since I was16. It makes a huge difference

I think you should begin to use a light moisturizer at an early age, especially an eye cream. You'll thank yourself in years to come.

cream is too heavy for your face like that and will cause breakouts...try moisturizer, a little lighter.

Daily moisturizing also helps keep wrinkles from appearing, and it's never too earliy to start fighting those wrinkles!

Sorry - your Mom is wrong this time :( Soap of ANY sort dries your skin out - try using a light moisturiser.
