Recent research states that it is 4.5 billion yrs. I am a christian but I do not think the time frame of earth's beginning is a factor in the age of the earth.

My, how time passes. When I was in the seventh grade it was only 2 billion years old. here it is only 40 years later and it's 4.5 billion. Or maybe I'm just older than I think ! ! (musta went to sleep for 2.5 billion years). I know I used to sleep in class, but this is ridiculous.
Wonder how old it will be in 40 more years ? 5.5 billion ? 10 billion ? Who knows ? ? ?

The numbers of years is not a issue. Yesterday you eat an ice-cream or 20 years ago you ate an ice-cream are same taste and favour. What is the different? for history; we need to clarify the schedules, we need to know which is first and which is later then we cannot say the earth is only 6000 history. We can only say the earth had 6000 history with memory and over that times, we have no record on it.
