This question is for Jehovah's Witnesses only. When will you attend your District Convention? I will attend mine on Friday of this week, and then go on the 18th and 19th for the other days because of parking on Friday. This Friday, another congregation is having their District Convention, and they have a bus to take on Friday, because it's hard to find a parking spot in the parking garage where I go. So I'm going with another congregation this Friday because they have a bus, and my congregation doesn't. My congregation is having their District Convention August 17-19, but since I'm going to attend the Friday with the other congregation, I'm just going on Saturday and Sunday, because it's easy to find a parking spot. Anyway, when will you attend your District Convention? Do you look forward to attending it, if you haven't attended already?

We attended already in the end of May. The city that we went to is usually very hot but this year it was rather cool so it seemed strange in a way. We stayed at a very nice hotel that was right next to the convention center. Each day on break we would go back for a while and eat or visit with friends, so that was a nice touch. Recently my brother-in-law even remarked that his 3-1/2 yr old son loved the dramas and he was surprised how fixed he was on them, lol They attend an area that is really beautiful at a harbor setting with the pond and people picnic on lunch break. I would love to go again at least on Sunday but don't know if we can work it out. BUT, I am so happy that you will be going and you will love the dramas and new releases. Let us know what happens! The best to you and your hubby. The Zeb!;)

In the United States, active Jehovah's Witnesses constituted LESS THAN HALF the attendance of the 2006 district conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses. It seems likely that more than 2.5 million will attend the 2007 conventions in the United States alone.

Jehovah's Witnesses have arranged for literally THOUSANDS of conventions worldwide presenting the 2007-2008 theme "Follow the Christ". Hundreds of conventions will be held across the United States:

During 2006, more than 2.3 million attended Jehovah's Witness conventions in the United States, meaning that active Jehovah's Witnesses made up less than half of that attendance. The entire 2007 "Follow the Christ" program clearly admonishes its audience to follow Jesus Christ.

Assuming you are referring to "Follow the Christ" then I already had mine. July 6th through the 8th. It was wonderful. I attended the first 2 days at the Gwinnett center in the Atlanta area, then Sunday I attended it in Macon, which is my home town. I had such a blast visiting with friends, some of whom I hadn't seen in about 4 years.

As for the people who proudly claim to not be Witnesses, while this is a public forum, the basic principle is to answer questions that actually apply to you/you can answer. Case in point, if the question was to pregnant women would it make sense for me to answer?? Or what's more, since I know about pregnancy on some level, if the question was about how to clean a sixth toe, it wouldn't make sense for me to answer since I don't know about it. The person who asked the question about our beliefs, made it clear he had little understanding of it, so why answer a question you know little/nothing about?

Also in regards to what one person on here said about a convention not guaranteeing one's place in heaven, as far as I know ONLY God can guarantee our place in heaven.

Pastor Art knows no more about the Bible than he does about Jehovah's Witnesses.

Mine was two weeks ago in Kissimmee, Fl.

Really enjoyed it. Great new release. Drama was good.

Sorry Lover of Jehovah and Jesus didn't make it. My Dad didn't either, he had just gotten out of the hospital with pneumonia the Tuesday before our assembly. He's going to try another weekend, but if not, there's a brother who always tapes it.
