and the dentist realized i had no roots in that tooth , weird huh? She took an x ray and saw that on the tooth next to mine the root was starting to dissapear , she didnt know what it was though , so now she sent the x rays to another doctor , she also said shed never seen something like this... What could it be? im scared all my teeth will fall out im only 18!

That is strange. I would think if the tooth was decaying and taking the roots with it there would be some surface problem that would show up on x-rays or when she probed around.

I will ask my dentist who has been one for a while and is on the board of a dental school (and has a hyper interest in weird tooth problems) what he thinks, at my appointment tomorrow.

You might be making dental history!

I think sometimes teeth will get bad and rot out your roots first. The tooth next to it might have effected the other tooth. How long has your dentist been one.

Don't worry... you may have really small roots. Either way, my advice is to trust your doctor. He/She knows what they're doing, and will do whatever it takes for you to keep your teeth. They won't fall out. Relax and good luck!

i chipped 2 of my teeth when i was hit by a car... it hurt when i ate food.
