where does it say that Jesus was going to return in 2000? I only find where it says 'even the Son does not know which day He will return, only the Father knows'... so if that is true, how come you think you knew it?

The Bible doesn't say Jesus was going to return in the year 2000.

Where does it say specifically that Jesus would return in 2000? No, I'm not trying to be rude. I'm trying to understand how you came to that conclusion.
Personally, I feel that nobody knows when He will come again. In the New Testament, Jesus said that His second coming will be like the coming of spring. There are signs that haven't been fulfilled yet, that MUST be fulfilled before His coming. Anyone with eyes to see will know that it's getting close.

-No one knows the day or the time when The Lord is coming- not even the angels that are in heaven.(Matthew 24:36)
-The Lord doesn't want us making predictions or calculations, He wants us to be prepared.
-"Therefore, you also be ready, for The Lord is coming at an hour you do not expect"Matthew 24:44
-The Lord gives us signs to look out for prior to His coming. Just look at what is going on in the world today. There is no denying the return of our Lord is near.
The only reason why The Lord has not returned is because the message has not been preached to the entire world. There are still countries(like North Korea) where Its very difficult for Christianity to enter. Our Lord is also giving people the opportunity to repent, He wants us all to be saved, to go to heaven. God doesn't want His children to be lost. Therefore, He is giving us time, but many of us are not taking advantage of that time. And time is running out. Once The Lord comes, there will be no more time.
Make your decision today, come to Jesus.

No, it did not. And all the power did not malfunction, nor did the world end. Ask the Jehovah's Witnesses why, they were the ones who said it would happen, and they are still around as well.
And, people have been waiting for Jesus to return ever since His resurrection, so were on a waiting list of about 2000 years and counting for his return. Get in line, pal.

Of COURSE it does! Right there in the Letter of Hrhmmhmnhm, Chapter VIX, verse LIXN: "Lo, this is Jesus. I am coming in the year 2000." I don't know how most Christians missed it.
Hmm. I just noticed, he didn't say which calendar system. People tend to assume "A.D." but it really doesn't say.

It doesn't say that anywhere in the Holy Bible. And I'm 100% certain of that fact. Who wrote the bible you are reading? A parrot? Sorry, but get your facts straight. Do some research. Peace.

The Bible does not say that. In fact it says that no man knows the day, nor the hour, of His return.

Don't know what bible you are reading, but you must be misinterpreting the meaning if you are talking about Jesus of the Bible, God's son.
