I am going to speak at my uncles funeral, well more like a brother than an uncle, and i wanted to have something great to close with,or something ppl would be comforted by but i am soo frazzled i cant find anything here on the internet to put in. So i wanted some help with some great words for our grieving family, or some scripture. If you could please help me out. I would really appreciate it.

Also, this is a part of the poem I wrote for my Dad, when he died:

Things still left unspoken
or that which we tried to say
Will be heard by him
if we speak them anyway

He's probably standing by now
to say his last goodbyes
Crying, as we're crying,
with his spirit eyes

It's only good bye for now
We're sorry you're gone
But we'll see you once again before too long.

May your path be opened
May your soul now feel God's peace
Now you've left your mortal body
with it's physical frailties

It's only good bye for now
We're sorry you're gone
But we'll see you once again before too long.

xo...

You're looking for a scripture?

How about something like John 11:25 or Acts 24:15?
Something similar might be encouraging. Hope this helps

Perhaps John, chapter 14:1-6 would bring comfort. Read it, absorb it and see how it makes you feel... then try putting that feeling into your own words... take notes as you do this.

I pray that you will be filled with peace, confidence, and love during your speech on Saturday!

You make an attempt to learn it -it is not difficult ,but very easy:-
"Na Booth vaa--na Bhavithaa vaa--na Bhooyaha---Saasvathoyam" (Lord Krishna in sri.Bhagavad Geetha)
_______________________________________________
Meaning:- Na Boothvaa=there was never a time in the last Zillion years that the Soul(of the departed) was Not there----na Bhavithaa vaa=There will not be a time in the next Zillion years that the Soul will not be there----Na Bhooyaha= it can not be said that the Soul is NOT there today---Ayam =the Soul--Saasvatham=eternal ----What dies is only the "Material" body.
