I have two plants of Gourds that are growing on my trellie on the West side of my Patio. How many Gourds will I get? It seems to me many. When will the grow right now there are just stems and tubes coming. So when will I see them grow into Gourds? When best to harvest? Thanks. New in Gourds. But seemed like fun!

20 or 30 might be common if it is the birdhouse or dipper gourds, the bushel gourds don't have as many. If it is the dipper gourd sent me some seed. Harvest after they quit growing and the vine dies, after it frosts on them, say about October, then store in a dry place all winter where they can dry out and peel off. It takes a long time for them to dry out.

once they start growing, you need to pinch all but the best off, or else you will be very disappointed in their size
