i take lessons from bob purcell at oyster bay golf course(number is 1 516- 682- 4776) 2 1/2 hours is 250... You can choose how you want to break it up wether 2 1 hour sessions and a half hour session or 5 1/2 hour sessions or 1 hour session and 3 1/2 hour sessions... If you want you can try Mike Hebron over at smithtown landing... He was voted the top teacher in new york so lessons might be a little more call smithtown at 1 631- 979-6534

During the summer is the best time to take lessons becuase your local community colleges may offer group lessons for a fraction of the cost of your local golf course.

Its a safe bet to say it'll cost you anywhere from $35/ 1/2 hr. to $50/hr. Its all relative to where you are. Muni course seem to be a little cheaper.

The prices in my area are fairly decent. Check out the link below.

The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following "The Simple Golf Swing" program. It's primarily a 31 page eBook that teaches golfers how to make solid contact with the ball, how to avoid hitting fat, how to avoid slicing, how get more power, accuracy, and consistency in your swing. Consistency being the number 1 golf skill.

You not only get the eBook though, you also receive a ton of extra material including video, lessons on putting, driving, chipping, sand play etc. Here is their official site: http://www.golfswingguru.net

hey, i live on long island and i take golf lessons. i think my mom bought a package of like 5 half hour lessons for around $250 i think. im more of an intermediate player though. and thats private lessons. you might want to start of taking group lessons if youre a beginner. it will be less expensive. i feel its best to start out by taking some group lessons (some sort of clinic, they will definatly have one at a golf course near you) and then move to private lessons once you start to get the hang of things. i hope this helps and good luck!!! :)
