I bought a dress that apparently had a small Jesus-dying-on-the-cross metal object that looped onto a pin. As an a atheist I have no use for it so I took it off. I would wear it if I had one of those anti red cross out things over it. But I don't know where to find one of those...

Were I to wear it it wouldn't be for atheism, per se, but for anti-religion. And living in the U.S. using a symbol of the Christian religion would do.

Even as an atheist you still must agree that based on historical documentation Jesus was a pretty cool guy.
Given the choice of putting "one of those anti red cross out things" over an image of Jesus or an image of Hitler which would you choose?
Even as an atheist surely you must admit the existence of good & evil in our world and in the universe at large.
Given the choice of only one which would you choose?
My point is that all you really need to believe is that Jesus was a great person and set a great example for mankind to be a considered a Christian in my eyes.
What year is it? 2007
2007 years since the birth of a person named Jesus Christ. The world at large has already long ago accepted that Jesus Christ is the "MVP" of man's history (MVP is a sports term for Most Valuable Player).
You don't need to believe in a virgin birth, miracles or Resurrection to follow the good advice of Christ and make you a better person. You don't even have to admit it to ANYONE but yourself.
I was that way for years, questioning all of the "mumbo jumbo" in the Bible about miracles, etc... But I still truly believed that Jesus Christ was the "MVP". I had opened my heart just enough to allow the Spirit of J.C. in when I wasn't quite paying attention.
Do you believe in ghosts...?
I do, and Jesus's ghost is pretty cool. He leads an entire army of spirits and they can do some pretty amazing things if you open your heart and allow them to.
Peace,
AAD

Well, give it to a Christian of your acquaintance, or find a metal recycling place, or donate it to a thrift shop.
I have ordered some very nice cross beads simply because I like the beads and needed a quantity discount, and I'm using those to make earrings for Christian friends and relatives. The stars and hearts are mine. :-)

Toss it. It was probably based on some blonde european concept anyway, and not a middle eastern jewish person.

Keep it! Hide it in a drawer because one day you WILL wear it proudly.

Do you consider your atheism to be a part of your identity?
Just curious, thanks.
