You can serve cognac in hot weather but a good tequila is better. Try Herradura or Cielo or Cabo Wabo anejo, with no salt, lime or ice. Serve in either a snifter glass or basic rocks glass.

Good idea? That's a personal preference. I prefer mine in cold weather. And it is only properly served in a brandy snifter neat - that is no ice, no mixer, just booze.
