At 13, you're pretty much limited to the usual: dog walking or pet care, lawn work for neighbors, baby-sitting or Mother's Helper (some parents may think that 13 is going to be too young for baby-sitting by yourself especially at night, but a Mother's Helper keeps the kids busy while the Mom is still around), shoveling snow. You can try telling family and neighbors that you can do all of these things or just be an extra pair of hands to help as needed -- whether it's cleaning out a garage, helping with grocery trips, etc., and see what they come up with.

-Mow laws
-Babysit
-Paper Route
-Yard Work
-Cleaning houses for neighbors, family or your parents friends.
-Dishwasher at a restaurant
-Work at ice cream stands -some will hire
-Help at horse farms.
-Offer to help clean out peoples garage, barn, attic, basement, etc. They will pay you to clear out the clutter. If theres stuff worth saving that they want to get rid of you can then have a garage sale to earn even more money.
-Work at a "Pick-Your Own" Farm. You will get paid a decent amount. For example, in the fall you can go to apple orchards and offer to pick up the apples that have fallen on the ground. I used to do this and get paid 50 cents a basket. This may not sound like much but the basket fill up quick and it still leaves time for other part time jobs
-Walk dogs or pet sitter.
-Camp counselor. Or look at summer camps and after school programs to work with children. Programs are always looking for extra help with the little ones at schools
-Help mothers with children that need help doing laundry, making beds, keeping the child occupied while she cooks.
These are only a few options but there are lots of ways to make some money at your age! =)

All you can really do is house work, and things around your neighborhood. You are too young to work anywhere (that doesn't want to be shut down)
