Would you want to be told right then and there or would you rather stumble across the object while looking in the mirror later (no telling how long that spinach has been stuck on the tooth, for example)?

I ate a chocolate chip cookie that was melt-in-your-mouth (and apparently on your face) good, and walked around my retail job with a big ol' BROWN streak for about 3 hours and no one told me. it looked like poop smeared on my face, so me going - no it's a cookie sounded lame!

I'd want to be told immediately.
It doesn't have to be a big public spectacle. It's common courtesy to take someone aside and say softly, "honey, you have a little something...do you need a mirror? I have a compact," without making a big deal out of it.

I want someone to tell me right away, but I find it hard to tell others (I'm embarrased) I wouldn't want to embarrass them,depends how close I'am with them.
