In 12 gauge I reccomend any factory field load with size 71/2 Shot. Winchester,Remington, Federal...Winchester AA Trap loads also work great

definitely go with a 12 gauge. use at least 7 shot, preferably 8.

i prefer the fast 7.5 or 8 shot shotshells. something that goes at least 1350 fps. you're going to have a smaller payload but i like the extra velocity. it also helps when you make the transition to shoot waterfowl with 1550+ fps steel.

anywhere form 7-8 load if you are just shooting for sport... 8 might be a little to heavy if you are going to eat them afterwards...
