Buy or make them some chocolate candy. It's a lovely indulgence that we girls love, but feel guilty about getting for ourselves. I nice box of gourmet chocolate is great, or even just make up a batch of chocolate truffles or something like that. There are recipes and gift ideas at http://www.chocolate-candy-mall.com
By the way, Congratulations on your new baby - lucky girl!

What are you looking at spending.
One thing I did for my bridal one, was get some kind of generic item at clinique - like a moisturizer, when its free gift time, then they get that and the free gift. So thats about $20.
One thing I got for hosting was a Panera (chain deli/coffee shop) gift card for $10.
If they're busy moms too, and theres somewhere in town (some caterers do this) that make great frozen meals - a gift certificate to there is always handy too.

diapers -start up with length a million (NB may well be too small for a corpulent toddler and in undemanding terms final a pair weeks) presents card to Walmart or aim (usually a superstore) that have somewhat one motif revealed on it, not a modern-day card from a distinctiveness shop like BabiesRUS - for one, there is in undemanding terms one shop in my city (15 miles for the time of city), and expenses are costly, even on sale (30% off of a $10 jumpsuit continues to be an costly $7 one, i will particularly purchase for greater low-priced someplace else), and third reason, if the mum and dad have alrady stocked up on toddler merchandise and don't % something , they might use the cardboard for groceries. i'm an tremendously careful with my toddler products funds as they advance so speedy, and that i constantly purchase for next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days (s) on sale/clearance on the top of the season. So, i individually take excitement in as quickly as I get the receipt alongside with an merchandise i don't % so i will return it.

I gave them each a card with a handwritten message that came straight from the heart. It was my mom and mother in law. They didnt expect or want any gifts. I didnt either when I hosted my sister's shower. It was all about the baby.
