I'm thinking that it would come in handy to a lot of Christians here in R&S.

NO! because then christians will ignore parts of grammar and spelling they dont agree with. same with words of the dictionary, they will make up their own meanings...

they already do the same thing with the bible.

I agree with other posters that reading is one of the best ways to improve your spelling. However, there are spelling books available, and you would do well to purchase one of those and to practice one set of exercises each week or so. Plan on learning about 20 words a week. Anything more is beyond most people's capabilities. As for the spell check, you should always use one, and plan to use one even if you are great at spelling. It is easy to make a mistake while typing, and this program can help find some of the errors. Of course, spell checks often err, so you still need good skills. As for counting on your fingers, I thought that was why God gave us ten digits. It's a poor man's calculator, and there's nothing wrong with using it.

Most Bibles have dictionaries included which have the proper spelling and definition.

I would like to ask those on this thread who have called Christians idiots why you think it is okay to do that?

I'll put my writing skills up against any of yours any day.

Why the crusade against Christians? You all go way over the top.

Better than a dictionary is the Strong's Exhaustive Hebrew/Greek Concordance. Click below to download it free:

This way NO word or verse in the entire bible is interpreted through personal opinion

Some religions do include a "bible dictionary" and index for the bible. unfortunately they of course are to their interpretation. Any one word or phrase could mean something different to different people.

Its funny how you only say that about christians when in fact I think we have all made typos in our life and not only that most drop outs in schools today are the lower class who end up in gangs not knowing how to read or write. My uncle dropped out of school in the 10th grade and joined a gang, got arrested and back then you could join the army or go to jail... he joined the army and used the bible to learn to read, believes in God and today owns an oil company near Annapolis, MD, owns 3 other business in Central Virginia combined worth millions of dollars, and not to mention im a Christian and was Valedictorian of my class in school. So what have you done in your life besides spell well and used grammar correctly? Its a shame that you would judge Millions of people because you met what... maybe 40-50 Christians that do not spell good... If thats the case I know dozens of people that do not believe in God and cannot spell good shall I also give them a guide for grammar and spelling too?

Yes, but who would write this dictionary? Unless it was open to at least 50 different interpretations, so that faith would dictate its meaning, it would not be permissible.

I used to be a counselor at a Christian camp and I kept a grammar dictionary in my back pocket. The campers got so sick of me they took my book, wrapped it in underwear, and raised it up the flag pole.

Yes, especially since it seems to be the only textbook or reference book the Idiots for Christ you're speaking of believe in.
