There's nothing wrong with praying for those things. People in Old Testament times prayed for victory in battle and that their enemies be crushed all the time. God is truly the ultimate unknown, so none of us will ever know what the "correct" things to pray for are. All we can do is keep praying!

Yes, a little.
Shouldn't you be praying for the hatred to end?
Both sides are guilty of that, and the world will be no better if we let it get worse.
Please do not forget the more peaceful teachings of Jesus.
Please ask for the soldiers to find the strength to protect themselves in combat, and to come home safely, and soon. It's all how you phrase it. Keep the violence out of your prayers, and the violence will stay out of your heart.

Well it is definitely specific! :) I am not sure you should pray for their death though. I pray that God's will be done and that he open the eyes and hearts of our leaders to follow him. As a Christian, I know that God sees further than us all as he knows and sees all! So I trust that nothing happens in this life without his stamp of approval. We have to go through the rain to get to the rainbow. I just hope this war passes on but that the reasoning behind it is apparent to us all and not all in vain in the end!

Not out of line, but perhaps they could go further...
>salvation for the enemy
>Divine protection for our soldiers
>comfort for all those affected by the war
>protection and support for families back at home.

I believe we are suppose to pray for things that would be more in line with Gal. 5:22-23. So I would change my pray. I pray for the peaceful end to all this.
Yours in Christ,

What is out of line is that you are praying against your enemies rather than praying that they realize what they are doing wrong.
Remember, God teaches love, not hate. How sad many of us have always failed to comprehend that.

Well, I don't want to see our enemies die. I just want everyone to go home and live in harmoney. I think that's better than what you're praying for. Your prayer is Old Testament.

Its not wrong to pray for our soliders, but to pray for our enemies death is. Try praying for peace, and clearing to happen on both sides.
"God must be wary for being called down on both sides of this war"

Read psalms 3
Although there will never be peace in the middle east it also is predicted in the Bible. It cannot be wrong to pray for it anyway.

I would say that praying for death is a bit out of line. Not a very Christian thing to do, to say the least. What would Jesus do, huh?
