Why do some of you disrespect and insult a person whom they don't believe even was ever born?

Either they believe there was a person by the name Jesus, and they don't like his teaching! or, they don't believe there ever was a person! but either way why some of them show such disrespect to others, and yet present themselves as astute individuals?
Do they ever consider respect others, including those they don't agree with?

Although that question may have been insulting to David Copperfield, most people recognize that he is a totally fictional character invented by Charles Dickens.
I don't see what's wrong with making fun of ficitonal characters. Is it disrespectful to draw a moustache on Batman?

Some people, on both sides of the issue, will occassionally ask insulting questions. Some people, on both sides of the issue, will always ask insulting questions. Unfortunately, that is just the nature of the internet.
But the answer is simple. When you see these people on line - block them. Then never, ever open one of their questions or read one of their answers.

Religion is a parody of itself. All we atheists are doing is holding up a mirror.
America is great because it offers freedom of religion. That does NOT, however, exempt those who practice it from scrutiny.
