You need some strength exercise routines, and less activity if you want to get some weight.
5'6" 100 lbs is very skinny. I'm considered thin at 6'0" and 150 lbs. But I hate fatty foods, and get full. You need some more weight, so try.
You may be eating too fast, so the food can not be digested well and absorbed. You may be eating non-nutritiously. Eat more higher fiber carb rich foods, and do some leg and back exercises, where the muscles can gain the most.

Hey, I can relate. I'm fifteen and I'm around 5'6" too, but I'm only about 107 pounds. I'm really thin, but I eat all of the time. I don't even eat that healthy. I drink soda and eat a lot of pastries. Some people joke about me having a tape worm, but I just think it's my high matabalism. I fidget all the time, I just can't sit still, I'm always moving some part of my bodie, whether it be tapping my fingers, or my foot. I heard from a friend that people who fidget live longer. But of course, she fidgeted too.
I think it's okay, just so long as your eating right. Oh, and a friend of mine said that I shouldn't eat junk food just becasue I'm always thin. He said that fat builds up in the arteries sometimes too.
Hope this helps!!

A complete physical will rule out any underlying causes of your thinness if it's caused by some sort of abnormality. Have you always had a high metabolism, or is this a recent thing? If this is unusual for you, you could have a problem with your thyroid gland. Were you heavy at one time and now very thin? Do you have an eating disorder? If it's a concern, you should visit the doctor.

It's fine your metabolism will slow as your get older but if you still that light your not eating ALL the time. Trust me I used to be like you blaming my fast metabolism for my low weight but the truth is your simply not eating enough. Maybe your eating until your full which could be not a lot at all and then since you don't eat a lot your just not hungry.

You are a little skinny for your height. But everyone's different. If you are still this skinny in a couple years (when you've surely stopped growing), you should see a doctor to check your thyroid.
