I believe that their software has a trial period. The problems I've always had when trying to convert mkv to divx/xvid is that I have to separate the sound and video or everything get out of sync.

Yes there is...it's called Super(c)
But to be honest with you, converting takes time and reduces quality...you are best getting it in the format you want in the first place.
