Not at all. That's the last thing we need right now. The Pakistani government is trying its best to get rid of extremists. You yourself gave the example of the Lal Masjid incident. The stupid extremists are still protesting because their extremist mullah got killed. America is already infamous in muslim countries for interfering with their affairs. Why does Obama want more people to hate us?
coragryph: Do you think that Pakistan is not trying to find al-Qaeda? It is as simple as this: the western world has no idea how eastern governments work and vice versa. Pakistan will be lucky if the stupid extremists over there shut up.
And do you know that the majority of the UN's forces are provided by pakistan? Yeah, let's go to war with them because they are helping the UN and helping fight terrorism which is what WE are supposed to be doing.

I think this Obama **** is even worst than bush. If he think he can attack Pakistan and get away with that than he's terribly mistaken. Pakistan will fight back such an attack on his soil. Taliban will have whole Pakistan as their heaven and they'll be free to do whatever they want. I think by attacking Pakistan, the U.S will lose his ally in Muslim world and U.S will be done for sure. Not to forget that Pakistan is not weak country military wise. they can wipe out entire U.S troops with their nuclear weapon. They also can attack Israel with their nuclear weapon. So plz don't elect this stupid man as next U.S president or U.S is done for.

Well, let's start with the simple fact that bin Laden and the main Al Qaeda forces are in Pakistan, and not in Iraq.
So, if we're supposed to be going after Al Qaeda, doesn't it make sense to go after them where they ARE?
But what amuses me most is the way people insult Democrats, saying they are soft on terrorists and don't want to fight them -- and the same people insult Democrats who say they do want to fight and attack the terrorists.
So, clearly, the insults have nothing to do with what the Democrats are doing, because they get insulted either way.

Obama is not talking about "invading" Pakistan to unseat the current Government - i.e. "Regime Change." He's talking about INSULTING the current government of Pakistan by sending our troops in and going after the terrorists themselves. This would be the equivalent of Canada sending mounties across the border into America to chase Canadian criminals.
So, not only does he want to enrage the extremists who support Bin Laden by involving us in a quagmiric adventure, he wants to insult our ALLIES!
"You're not doing enough - get out of the way - WE'LL show you how to do it!"
