I'm taking it for my ankle and it's knocking me out like Mayweather...does anybody know? (I slept for like 2 hours after taking it)

It does make you sleepy. Also being out of pain needing sleep and able to rest, together with the hydrocodon is a sure way to knock you out.

hydrocodone, vicodin, codeine etc....
there all narcotics & anti inflamatories & tylenol to assist with pain and inflamation. There're for temporary use, to get you over the hump, then you should go to Motrin or maybe Naproxcin, Naprocin, these are anti inflamatory meds with out the narcotic, which does make you drowsey and shouldn't drive or operate machinery

Hydrocodone is a narcotic analgesic and they tend to slow you down. One of their most prominent side effects is sedation. Sorry. Hope your ankle feels better though!

Yes, drowsiness is a side effect of hydrocodone.
