Mine was light golden. Of course you know you are talking pineapple juice here. You don't add the gingerale until the last minute right before serving.
However, there are hundreds of punch recipes out there. Are you thinking you want it more the color of orange juice or pineapple juice? Alcoholic or non?
I'll try to find the one we had at my wedding. Everyone loved it. It had frozen lemonade, frozen orangejuice, pineapple juice and ginger ale.
I would avoid the ones that have sherbert in them. Sure they look frosty and creamier but I dont think they are as good, and too sweet especially with food. Also look for one that serves the amount you are talking about b/c you can't take a one gallon recipe and just x16. It never turns out right.
Hope this helps and I'll edit if I find the recipe!
Here is another good recipe in case I don't find mine
Wedding Punch
2 cans frozen lemonade concentrate (12 oz)
2 cans frozen pineapple juice concentrate (12 oz)
1 quart water
1 liter ginger ale
1 liter sparkling water
1 large bottle sparkling white grape juice
Combine juices and water in large punch bowl; mix well.
Right before serving, add ginger ale, sparkling water and juice; stir to blend.

I used to work for a caterer, and we had a great punch recipe. Very light, and easy to make.
Mix one frozen can of organge juice, one can of pineapple juice, and we added frozen berries (strawberries, etc.) for color. You can freeze the mix (make it ahead of time), and before the reception starts, pour Sprite over the mixture. You also don't have to freeze it, and just add Sprite and lots of ice.
Depending on the items you add, you can change the color of the punch. You can also freeze some of the mix to make ice cubes, so that as the ice melts, it doesn't water down the punch.
To get a champagne color, you could add white grape juice with less organge juice.......or even try just the white grape juice alone, especially frozen, it would be excellent.
Good luck!

My mom used to make a real pretty and tasty punch at Christmas. As far as I can remember, this is the recipe:
one large can frozen orange juice concetrate
6 litres of lemon-lime soda
a half gallon of orange sherbet, divided (or you can use a combination of lemon and orange for a more golden colored punch--don't use lime as it will turn the punch a brownish color)
Put the juice concentrate (still mostly frozen--slushy, at least, but not rock hard) into the punch bowl. Scoop about half of the container of sherbet into the bowl, and add the soda. (It will fizz, so pour carefully.) Make small scoops out of the rest of the sherbet and float on top. Using the mostly-frozen OJ concentrate and sherbet keeps the punch nice and cold without watering it down with ice.

i do no longer understand if there's a burgundy shade jello, yet you need to attempt cherry jello and grape juice, I guess that ought to enhance right into a burgundy shade. while you're finding for a diverse theory that's slightly much less annoying, you need to attempt cranberry juice, gingerale and grape juice. you are able to freeze quite a few the grape or cranberry juice to maintain it cole (the two in a hoop or in cubes). you additionally can use sprite particularly of gingerale yet i like the gingerale ultimate. additionally use some clean lime, lemon or orange slices for further style and to make it extraordinarily. (you need to use all 3 in case you desire.) in basic terms an theory! good success!
