Yes indeed, just look at all the number of prople being buried under maxed out credit cards, which are next to impossible to pay off, unless they win a lottery.

some times i think we live in a bubble, we refuse to look at the things that will hurt us and let it continue. and yes to many people rely on plastic. i always say if i don't have the money to pay for something then i don't need it. credit cards get folks in trouble.

Yes they do mostly but I don't. I use my ATM card only for purchases. It is the only way to go.
I do have a target card that I use once in a while, just to keep my credit active and pay it off when the bill comes.

I think this is overexagerrated. Sure, most Americans have "some" credit card debt, but it's just a convenience.
Yes, many are in over their heads, but I don't think it amounts to a significant fraction of the population.

I don't live on Credit, but I DO live on Debit. It's plastic. But it's just like using cash.

My wife and I have some credit debt, but we don't live on credit. We buy necessities and pay bills with cash.

the majority do. Whats worse is were no longer seen as human beings.....where measured by a number which determines what we can and cant have.....all by a simple credit score......thats what sucks.

I have one credit card (not debit) but only use if its needed... always use cash... best way to know where my money went.. better tracking...

we now have only 1 credit card.. and it is for weather related emergencies... (evacuating for hurricanes)..... our only debts are the mortgage and vehicles... not bad for 39 yrs old....
