Are you a Christian that believes all or some of these things to be true and why?

Also, Christians that do not believe some or all of these things, are you ashamed and embarrassed that some still do?

I don't believe they are Christians. they just like to believe they are and embarrass the whole Christianity. so, yes, I am embarrassed by their foolish notions.

As a Follower of Christ, I have to admit that many of us do not study the Bible to the level that we should. That is not an excuse so here is the real answer that can be backed up by scienc and scripture. NOTE: This is from a believers perspective (I once was an agnostic)..and I dont know everything!...

When a new believer or a non-believer reads Genesis 1 and 2 they often think that the distance of the verses from each other denotes the distance of time....Between Genesis 1 and 2 are millions of years that existed. The Bible refers to the "worlds" past in several scriptures.

Lets take a look:

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Stop Here its a period not a comma...now if you think of old english, you can start statements with...AND (i.e And we went to the market...)

2 "And" the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Earth under water? yep that is the first flood. God said himself that he would nto destroy the earth by water again...

The World was destroyed by water 2 times not once...the first time is when Satan/Lucifer was good and ruled the earth and its Kings and Princes...there were humans around at that time "before" adam and eve...then if you read Ezekiel 28:11-19 it talks about the Good and now evil status of Satan(King of tyrus as a metaphpor) and his fall due to Pride and thinking that he can over take God...(symptomatic of todays secular humanistic thinking). As a footnote...God did create Satan but he did not create evil...Satan made that choice just as you make your to belive or not ...to liste to marylin manson or Kirk franklin. The first great gift God gave to man was free will and the second greatest is Jesus Christ.

Look up pre-adamite time and it will show you what i mean...in addition if there are Christians or anyone who believes the above statements (i.e flat) they are...ignorant. God is the center of the universe.

Therefore God Destroyed the earth at the time when Dinosours and possible man was here as well, look at where and how dinosaurs where excavated..when you look at the surrounding items they were also sea creatures as well.

Then you have adam and eve and the 7 days that God remade the earth after the First Flood...which was not 7 literal days but 7 1000 year periods:

2 Peter 3:8 (ASV)
8 But forget not this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

There are many things in the world people dont understand...but just like a dream for instance..no one has seen mine but we all can confirm they exist and can be brought to reality :)

Yes there are sadly some people that still believe all those things, I'm not a Christian but I do say that I'm saddened by the fact that people still believe that, I would like to see the proof of all those things, we have proof that the Earth is actually billions of years old (like the stone layers and rock oh and the fact that we've found asteroids that are millions if not billions of years old, so what does that mean?), we also have proof that dinosaurs and man have been separated by millions of years, we also have proof the world is round (look at the horizon, it's not flat, it's more rounded) and we have proof that the Earth is not the center of the universe, the Christians believed that because of ego.

They need help then. The earth could not be only a few thousand years old.The bible says that God's days are numbered to 1000 so One day to Jehovah would equal a thousand years on earth, so if it took him 7 days to create the earth it took him seven thousand years.and then u count all those years from noahs day to now.people back then lived very long, the bible says that Adam lived to be over 900 years old and the oldest man that ever lived was methuselah, and thats because they were closer to perfection than us,there were less diseases. The bible says that the earth is a sphere shape meaning that it is round.there is no way possible the earth is the center.Studies show that if the sun even moved the universe would completely change. if it was any closer to the earth we would all burn and if it was any further we would all freeze( meaning if it came any closer to our orbit)

Why would ANYONE be embarrassed by what other people may believe? There are LOTS of strange beliefs out there...just listen to some of the conspiracy theories that come out here....George Bush planned 9-11, Michael Moore has something intelligent to say, Vaccines for children are more dangerous than the diseases they cure, a bomb brought down the WTC, the news footage was faked, no one ever landed on the moon, Hillary Clinton is the most intelligent person in the world, 9-11 never really happened....seriously, I could go on and on.

A LOT of these people may have something in common with me...but I'm not embarrassed by them. Why should I be?

Life on this planet is only about 7000 years old 2000 after Jesus 5000 before. the planet itself predates creation.(genesis1:1) Adam and Eve's children were sooooo intelegent that they had gene splicing down to an art form and they created what you think of as dinosuars. My ex-father-in-law has a copy of the actual dinosaur print and human footprints that were found side by side in the same bedrock. The round earth was once all in one land mass then broke up be the worldwide flood. Heaven is the "Center" of the universe. But all other created worlds are centered on earth as it is the only created planet to have failed the apple test. And I am not ashamed to admit it

Those things have nothing to do with my Catholic faith that Christ is my Lord and Savior.
And, people that believe those things don't embarass me, anymore than the legions of boneheads that call themselves Americans make me embarassed to be an American.

*Before he was pope, Cardinal Ratinger wrote a great book on creation which, I believe, is the perfect blend of Scripture and science: "In the Beginning...: A Catholic Understanding of the Story of Creation and the Fall".

Scientist dont have the answers to their theories. Dont act like there is some obvious truth to the dinosours. To believe Gods word is to accept some things are miraculous in nature. How old were the rocks when God created them? How ol;d was the wine that Jesus made from water. Both were new, but scientist would have given them an estimated age and would have laughed at anyone that would have said they were one day old.

I am seldom surprised by the bazaar notions of truth that god-belief spawns not only from it's doctrines but also out of the infectious popular and very misguided word-of-mouth spread falshoods that god-belief tends to encompass.

God-belief is definitely to blame for some very poor standardized test scores by school aged children in western societies and it fosters a population of poorly educated, even ignorant, adult society as well. In some of the middle eastern nations and some of the countries of the subcontinent, Africa Asia and Oceaniana there is almost education offered outside of that which is provided by religions - the effect has been obviously devastating upon the growth of those civilizations and upon knowledge itself.

There is no longer room for patience and tolerance of the world wide menace called god. Reason and common sense call for a greatly needed change.

i do no longer. i seem at sin thoroughly otherwise. Sin is a separation from God. The better the separation, the better the sin. the belief of repentance is to (actually) "turn around." you will possibly be an prolonged techniques off, yet, while you're dealing with God, and headed in the direction of Him, you're on the superb song. Heinlein grew to become into changing the Wiccan theory: "an it injury none, do what you will." it particularly is analogous to the Golden rule.

No, I dont believe all this. I believe that science has taught us some things and that christians don't hold a monopoly on the truth. I'm not really ashamed or embarrassed for Christians who believe this stuff. I just feel sorry that they don't feel the need to be educated. This stuff can also be found in the Bible if they'd study it well enough.
