i am muslim and have been confronted by many christians about my beliefs and have been told that i am going to hell for not believing that jesus is god and the son of god. isn't that for god to decide? because in islam it is a major sin to put yourself on the same level as god, and only god can decide/ knows who is going to heaven and hell. i have also had people try to educate me about christianity when i haven't asked for their help and i don't care. i personally choose not bring up religion at school and i was yelled and screamed at by a christian girl about the trinity and jesus, and when i asked her to prove to me how what she was saying was true she couldn't, she only said that it was the truth. but i didn't even bring up reigion, becuase like i said i don't like talking about it in school. why do so many christians want to spread jesus to those of us that don't want it? because if i wanted to be christian i would, i don't agree w/ their values and beliefs. why do you all do this

I'm an atheist, so I'm just dropping by to see the responses to your beautifully worded question. If your going to hell, you can hang out with me and all of my other athesit buddies also condemned to hell. It'll be awesome. There's going to be cake and a pool table and all the hot dogs you could ever want. Bring the chips.
PARTY IN HELL!!! WOOT!!!

Here is the reason.
Christians are taught that we are sinners against God. We will never on our own accord do anything good enough to please God, so then God sent Jesus to teach us how to please God, and how to have a relationship with Him. He replaced the yearly atonement which only covered our sins with His dying for us so that we would be cleansed and be pure. and God would see us as though we had not sinned.
So, we, having heard this message are very overjoyous, we are amazed at how much God loves us and wants us to know him, and it is our duty to spread the word to others. Why wouldn't we?
The problem comes when people don't know how to spread the word, and just walk around telling people that they are devil worshipers that are going to hell. I am sorry that you had bad experiences with Christians at your school, and I'm sure these people are the majority which represent christianity, however it's just not how we were taught to minister to others.
Peace & Blessings

It's not Christians, it's the people you associate with that are/claim to be Christians.
Christians do not put themselves on the same level as God. The Bible tells us the only way to the Father is thru the Son.
As for your problem, there are hard liners everywhere of every type. When is the last time you heard of a Christian that strapped a bomb to themselves and killed innocent people?
Some Christians may be a bit pushy but they get their point across with words not violence.

I think by saying ALL Christians do that you are mistaken. ALL of us do not. I can respect that you believe what you believe. I think you are right religion should not be discussed at school or work. Same with politics. But unfortunately that happens. From the Christians stand point let me say. Jesus Christ is something we are passionate about. We love and appreciate Jesus. So we want to share Him. Please forgive the "pushy" Christians. We should all model ourselves after Jesus and only be there to encourage you if you ask.

Ok, let me clarify. A lot of Christians don't share my opinions on this subject, but here are my views:
We are told in the Bible to tell the message of salvation to the entire world, we would be directly disobeying God if we didn't. And besides, I WANT to spread the good news. I want others to share my joy, and it's the least that I can do for my Savior. It is not up to us to decide who goes to heaven and who doesn't. It is between you and God where you're going, and I hope that you make the right choice. I'll be praying for you. God bless!

Bible says to seek out your own salvation with fear and trembling, all I know is that the Lord Jesus came into my heart and allowed his spirit to teach me His truth and His ways and to teach others what he has taught me, I only talk about this when His spirit deals with me to, if the people of God would talk when God deals with them to then their wouldn't such hate and bashing of things in this world about religions and denominations stuff their would be peace but man has gone on his own understanding and look at were we are today we are suppose to have a relationship with God and seek out His rightousness and His truth and his ways, Satan is just try his hardest to separate people from God but the truth is if you seek God you will see these things and you try to live your best for God and do it the way He wants you to we are suppose to encourage one another to get closer not to separate each other in the name of a religion or denomination .So from my heart seek God out and get as close to him as you can because this stuff is going to get worse and God's word says satan will try to decieve even the elect of God the chosen people so we need to be as close to Him as we can get.

Some Christians are just super aggressive when it comes to spreading their religion. It's the same with other religions, whether it's Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, or anything else.

"...i don't agree w/ their values and beliefs..." What values and beliefs would those be?
We present the Gospel to everyone willing to hear it because that's what we are commissioned to do. Some Christians don't understand this and think that it's our place to bring people to believe what we say, but we're not told to do that at all. No one can force anyone to believe anything they don't want to believe. I'm sorry you were treated in such a manner by a Christian who didn't understand what they claimed to believe.

As followers of Christ- it is what we were commissioned to do.
Matthew 28:18-20
18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Because if you were standing in front of a bus and it was about to run you over, wouldn't you want someone to shout "Look, here comes a bus!" So you could get out of the way????
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.... believe NOT the Lord Jesus Christ and the wrath of God abides on you.
If "we" truly believe that and "we" do, we don't want you to get God's wrath, nor do we want to see you hit by a bus.
In layman's terms...... we're trying to help
