I'll be harvesting mint, baking bread, and having a quiet time in the back yard - we have a new altar there that my DH Black Dragon built.
Offerings of grain....songs of praise and thanks for the harvest time and the turning of the Wheel....candles on the altar, a letting go of things that have not come to pass.
I'll be making corn on the cob for dinner....along with other seasonal fare.
Enjoy your time with friends and a fire, dear man.

Ahh Lammas (because I'm a lazy pagan who doesn't like trying to spell lughnawhatever). The pagan thanksgiving and first harvest... the impending death of the god... the goddess's change to the crone...
I'll do my annual *read up on what I've forgotten sincle last year's ritual*. And I'll observe the changing season... this morning it was really foggy and gloomy which I thought was quite well-timed. And of course the ever traditional *celebrate by overindulging in the ritual cakes and wine like you did during Litha*

Thank you, same to you!
I'm making a harvest dinner, and I will light a pentacle later in the evening. I found a lovely poem to read that's appropriate for this stage of the life cycle.
Bonfires are great but it's raging hot here AND it's monsoon season, so it's not practical.
I'm also wearing my pentacles today.

If it stops raining probably a bonfire and some fresh caught fish with some steamed vegetables. Then probably work a little magick and do a little dancing in the moon light, clothing optional!! :) Bright Blessings to you and yours!

Gotta go build me a bonfire and do me some dancing!!
To be honest it was never something we honoured but my mum remembers it being celebrated when she was a wee girl in Donegal.

Happy August to you, too...
And I will be celebrating tomorrow and the day after as well... Just don't know how, yet.
**edit**
I celebrated by getting my periods today... shouldn't that mean something magical?
Anyway, Lugh will be very proud of me... well, once I do him justice, he will.

Buy looking that word up on wikipedia
edit:
As per Wikipedia, I need to set a bonfire and dance. Fine by me, but I live in a 3rd story apartment, and my landlord's gonna be pissed.
