Paul gives us advice to keep coming together in fellowship. Christians of all kinds need to band together so as to have spiritual companionship to help guard our hearts for the times of trouble to come. A minister is only a human leader and should be recognized as fallable. Jesus is THE ultimate leader and the only one we should follow 100%. A minister can help guide you but if that minister tries to tell you something other than what is in the Bible then he should not be followed. Seek earnestly for God to guide you.

please keep an open mind. i am not sure about how it is you came to decide 5 months ago to be a christian, but i worry for you because here on Yahoo answers --- there are a lot of people who call themself a christian, but are very hateful and misguided human beings.

be on guard against taking their views to be your own. you do not have to have a pastor to be a believer in jesus christ. your relationship with the god of your understanding is personal - do not let others destroy the love you have within you to share with the world. there are many different opinions on religion and beliefs --- having read about jesus, i hope, you are aware that jesus taught people to love one another. everything else, people invented to suit their own ideas.

be well.

No, you do not need a pastor to accomplish anything for your salvation. Jesus did it once and for all. You need to read your Bible and pray and find other Christians to share fellowship. Those things will strengthen your faith.

When someone first told me to read my Bible, I was overwhelmed. Another person told me to read the New Testament first, starting with the Gospels--Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. That helped me.

God will bless your study of His Word.

Darlin' a Bible is probably all you need. Having a pastor to talk to would help you when you have questions that need to be answered. Just make sure the pastor is trustworthy!
Jesus loves you, always remember that.

No, you don't need a pastor to be saved. All you need to do is confess with your mouth (make a public proclamation that you believe that Jesus is Christ) and believe in your heart, and you will be saved. I highly recommend that you be baptised though. It is an act of obedience toward God, and it really gives you a feeling of being born again.

I'm not sure what "convertation" is, but all you need to be a Christian is an abiding love for Jesus. We are, as Christians, told to spend time with other believers, however, and that keeps us strong. So choose a fellowship (church) and get acquainted!

Hello Sir. I'm going to help you with answering your question.
No you do not need a pastor to help you accomplish your
coversion. In order to come to Jesus Christ all you need is to confess with your mouth and believe it also in your heart...that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and he came to die for your sins.
God knows that you love his son Jesus so very much as you say that you do...and he sees your heart. And I'm here to tell you today that you are saved. Everything with God is about faith. (Hebrews 11:16) As long as you believe it in your heart you are saved. (Rom.10:9) (1John4:15) You don't need a pastor to confirm it...or even a best friend. Because we are all saved by the grace of God. Not by our own works. (Ephesians 2:8) Meaning nothing we do...(Literally will be what has saved us) only the Love of God.(John 3:16) The pastors, bishops, and all other appointed leaders of God, are just there to help lead and guide us. but we are all called to have our own personal relationship with God. So just go forth in Him Brother because he knows and sees your heart and that you do love him. All he asks of us is that we keep his commandments. I recommend reading 1John. Because in that book it pretty much tells you how to know that you are a child of God (and that you are saved). It is just best to have your own personal relationship with God because that way...no-one can lead you astray. You are a child of God if you live according to His word and you seek Him daily about what He would have you do for your life. And He says if you love me...you'll keep my commandments. (John 14:15)
So remember to walk in Him as He now abides in you. Ad I want you to be blessed and be encouraged today. And what I want to speak into your life is that you will go forth and do mighty things in Christ for the Kingdom of God..and your ministry will bless millions of people. Live and walk in Faith hope and Love...and be blessed in Jesus' Name!!!! :)

With Love...your sister in Christ

I'm not sure what you mean by "convertation"? You don't need a pastor for anything in your walk with God other than teaching.
