Rev, the purpose of prayer isn't like sitting on Santa's lap with list of wishes and "Thank you for my teacher, God bless Mommy and Daddy and Fido."
Prayer is intended to be time in contact with God, meditating, self-examination, true communion.
God's omniscience and omnipresence have little to do with such prayers...it's a personal and intimate relationship.
Prayer is an intimate, abstract thing that we've turned into a self-serving ATM, trying to withdraw from "BankGod"

God knows what all your actions will be and so you have no free will. God even knows if you are going to heaven or hell because as a result of omniscients existing everything is predetermined.
likewise god is also in hell if he is omnipresent

Yes He does. I like to think prayer is heard by God much like a father hears a request from his child. He knows his needs before he asks, but is still moved by it.

Lots of good ans on this one. But everydaycatholic summed it up great! As children of God, Him being Our Heavenly Father, our communicating with Him thru our prayers brings us closer to Him. And with this relationship, we also are tuned into hearing His answers also. It's like a parent who knows our child's needs, wants, we still want our child to ask in order to receive. God bless

God knows everything and is everywhere. We pray not for God's benefit but for our own. It strengthens our faith when we see our prayers answered. And since hell isn't in occurance yet, nobody is there. Hell will take place AFTER Jesus comes to redeem His people.
see study guide called is the devil in charge of hell? found in the first link below. or I could cut and paste for you?

Yes, he does.
The purpose of prayer is for us to establish and maintain our relationship with God. We do not pray to inform God of anything. We pray to remind ourselves of how we need God in our lives.

He knows our circumstances and that is what we usually pray about. So in a way, yes. But praying is required. It's our link to God just like asking your parents for something. Ask if you want it. If you don't pray, then how does God answer.

Yes. And God knew the result of everyone's life before the earth was created. So, in fact, whatever happens, is God's will. This is why I don't believe God is hurt by sin.
Sin hurts us.

How impolite of you to presume what i %. I had bible coaching, and prefer my mum and dad and grandparents and super grandparents i concept it replaced into an entire load of rot. My mum and dad enable me make up my very own recommendations which faith i wanted to persist with. Your god does nothihng for me, I see christianity as a cruel faith, that condems others that don't persist with it. in basic terms because of the fact it somewhat is the applicable path for you it isnt for 1000's of 1000's of alternative human beings. Who can grant the applicable to inform human beings what to do? i don't % 'my recommendations renewed with the aid of his artwork' that fact feels like brainwashing. Its human beings such as you that make each and all of the greater happy that i'm a Pagan. i discover your posting in this internet site to be particularly offensive. be happy to worship who ever you like yet dont anticipate all and sundry to persist with you. some human beings have an open recommendations and can particularly think of for ourselves.

prayer is for the sake of one's own reflection and self-transformation. god is only the object of the sentence.
try this: write down a question to god. then write down god's answer -- be god and answer your own question.
that's prayer. everything else is self-deception.
