I see so many posts from Christians that say so many disrespectful things about Islam, but then get offended when Atheist do it to their religion...

I find it odd how many Christians are constantly saying how they are just so offended by the stuff that comes out of atheists mouths, but then turn around and make assumptions, fale statements, and just flat out rude comments about muslims.

You can't have it both ways. Either you want to right to say what you want about other religions, so you won't care how anyone else feels about yours...

Or, you respect others beliefs even if you don't agree, because you want the same respect back!

But please, stop boo hooing about atheist being on here and saying stuff to you guys, then turn right around and make comments like: Islam teaches you to strap a bomb to your chest. Muslim women are beaten and oppressed. The Qu'ran is fake, and Muhammad was not a prophet

Do unto others...
I'm sure you know the rest... It's from your book..

I guess you experienced one side of the issue. I would tell you that there are more sides than that.

I get more angry when Christians get it wrong. And I find that pretty common.

But Christians get mad at Muslims too. So what are you talking about? lol

Everybody here can get angry for different reasons. Why are Muslims so easily persuaded that they are unfairly picked on?

So stop boo hooing yourself.

Islam does teach many people to strap bombs on. They do beat their women, the Quaran is fake, and Muhammed never was a prophet. We are telling you the truth.

This is a very broad question. Atheism literally means 'without god' and since most human acts of devastation have been in the name of one god or another, this would suggest that they are less harmful than people with a religion. If you think about it in a more abstract way, atheism promotes free thinking and the choice to believe what you want without the hindrance of someone telling you what is correct without any evidence. In this way, many religions actually promote ignorance over knowledge. (The reasoning behind this lays with early society humans trying to form a manageable society that functions well together. Religion is a very effective way to do this, hence why there are so many similarities between them). So depending on what you mean by harm, in early human society atheism could have been more detrimental to the progression of the human race but in recent times (the last 150 years or so) religion is losing its place in modern society.

You make an excellent point. Personally, I try to point out that all religions are equally false.

But Christians are the ones who actually have the audacity to try to convert others. I think that's got to be the most insulting - a bunch of white guys trying to "civilize the savages."

Generally the first civilized act is to impose some kind of tithe or tax. Gotta pay for daycare back home!

Why do you get involved in this? Why don't you just go about your business, without concerning yourself with christianity? Does your own insecurity encourage you to boost your spirits with these ridiculous comments about christians? You have a free will and can choose to believe whatever you wish. True christians aren't bothered by people like you; except to say that if you can't accept your own atheism, without targeting christianity at every opportunity;something is wrong with you. I am a true christian, and it matters not to me that you have chosen atheism. It matters not to me that others have chosen the islamic faith. I respect your right of choice. You, however, have an obsession with christianity, because you're not comfortable with the choice you've made. That's YOUR problem, not mine.

It's like big brother beating up middle brother, and middle brother beating up baby brother.

I Couldn't care less what atheists have to say about Christianity, they've formed their opinions through their experience and what they've learned, I wish there could be more tolerance but there are just a bunch of arrogant people in the world. So, what can you do. Peace to all, atheist, christian, Jew, Muslim, Pagan, Hindu, Buddhist, and whoever else I forgot, may you have a great day!

Are you sure what your saying is from Christians? I see more berating from the non-religious towards Islam. I'm sure some Christians do it but for the most part we ignore flaming. We will give our opinion if a question is directed toward Christians with regard to a comparison of religions. I see that all the time. Disagreement is not putting down Islam.

Christians especially Judeo-Christians have always been arguing with Islamic beliefs. It's not right to hate them or be mean because we should be kind to all. But the Bible does tell us to defend the faith, so that's what we do. Islam is in fact quite contrary to Christian beliefs, so you shouldn't expect us to stand around and allow them to mock the Christian faith. This is a spiritual battle that most outside faith will never really understand.

Nope not for me. I don't mind when people question my religion. Dis-respect is definitely different than discussion. I try to respect other people while dis-agreeing. But, wow quoting a book you don't believe in. Why rant about the hate when you are only adding to it.

I am Christian and I do not "crack on" anyone. I feel it is a person's God given right to worship who, what or how they may.
