i believe its candle, coz its fire related, and fires do end small, but candle fits more, so its candle. Coz candles are tall at the start, small near the end, candles can burn and destroy a home, and can die from a drop (of water) sropping on it

Fire?? maybe - because a large fire can destroy a home, but a small flame can be destroyed by a drop...they grow "tall" very quickly...I am curious to see the answer?
