There's no difference at all. "Gentemen's Club" is a euphemism for "strip club." If the sign outside the establishment said "Larry's Strip Club" instead of "Larry's Gentlemen's Club," certain individuals would be picketing the place 24/7.
Everyone really knows what a gentlemen's club is but since they can pretend it's just a place where guys go to have a good drink and relax, instead of a place where they can watch women undress and dance for them, it's all good. Kind of a way for society as a whole to stick its head in the sand about the issue.

In general, there isn't really a difference. It's the same thing, with a nicer sounding name. I have though heard some refer to an establishment's regulations on the consumption of alcohol though. It also depends onthe area and local laws. In california for example, a gentlemens club or strip club refers to an fully nude establishment, which cannot sell alcohol(also known as a "juice bar"). A strip club can also refer to the topless establishment where alcohol can be served(no hard alcohol though), but no "bottoms" removed. Last on the list is a Bikini bar, where there is no 'nudity', and the establishment generally has a full bar.

quality of the strippers and the cost of the drinks.... An attractive stripper would start out working in gentlemen's clubs and as she got older, heavier and uglier she would end up in strip clubs....
When you have lots of money you go to the gentlemen's clubs because they cost a lot and when your almost broke you go to the strip clubs.
I guess its the difference between a call girl and a hooker on the street corner.

These days there isn't any real difference.
At one time a "Gentleman's Club" had no entertainment and was simply a place where a man could go to quietly read his paper, play a rubber of bridge, smoke his pipe and have a snifter of brandy in peace and quiet. They often had "silent rooms" where no talking was allowed.
In other words, a "Gentleman's Club" was just that --
NO WOMEN ALLOWED!

Like ^ said, it's just a "cleaner" sugar topped name. Apart from the name you may want to check out some local clubs online and look to the reviews. You might get a better "feel" for the club's clientele and whether or not you would "fit".

I've never been to one, but my guess would be that the women who work in a gentleman's club strictly go topless and the women in a strip club bare all.

A gentlemen's club is generally a more classy establishment, while a strip club is trashy.

Gentlemen clubs require a shirt and tie. There's no difference with the girls with maybe the exception they "expect" bigger tips but do less. (Doesn't matter, they're all dead inside anyway).

Gentleman club is just a fancy name for a strip club. They want you to think there gentleman, but honestly, there just pigs dressed in fancy clothes.
