Thats funny crabby, I just looked at my IRA and made over 75 grand off investments in oil companies in the past 2 years so it looks like I will be retiring early too. Just with 1/10th the effort.

Isn't it funny that the same people who predicted planes would fall from the sky at midnight, Jan 1, 2000 now tell you there wasn't a Y2K monster?

I wonder if these dooms day extremist will also be saying that no one predicted that "global warming" would kill off the world 5 years from now when the Earth starts to cool off from natural variations.

The Y2K monster was killed by people like me who worked hard for 3 years going through over a million lines of source code removing Y2K bugs and upgrading systems. It annoys me that people say there was no Y2K monster when it actually meant we had done our jobs right.
ps Anyone want an out of work FTN77 programmer?

The Y2K monster did not die at the hands of the global warming monster. It actually died of dehydration when all the water plants failed as a result of Y2K.

Once the monster had died so did the threat and everything started working again.

My suspicions is that the Global Warming monster will drown when all the polar icecaps melt..... Just a theory though!

Well-you got taken. The only people who got upset over theY2K scare were the right-wing. They were too uneducated to understand it was never more than a technical problem, easily fixed--which it was.

Some of them, however, made a lot of money by scamming the right-wing sheep. No one else paid any attention to the fake "crisis."

Now these same con artists are raking it in with cash from the oil companies for trying to con people into believing there is no global warming.

Who's profiting off this fake "debate"? Answer-the oil and coal companies. And its coming out of YOUR pocket.

Meanwhile-the "liberal conspiracy?" What have we heard from them. Well--how about the bill the oil companies are trying to kill that would require better gas mileage--which would cut YOUR gasloine cost by half.

Me--I've paid attention to all this liberal "green" nonsense. And cut my utilitie bills 40% over the last 3 years--while prices have gone up! And use public transportation. We spent $30 last MONTH on gas fro the car.

Guess which one of us is going to get to retire early?

I guess you wasted 7 years of your life, because there was never a Y2K monster. Stop watching so much TV and listen to the scientists.

They both joined forces against Godzilla, naturally they tore up half of Japan in the melee. They had him down for the count but he got a mega power boost by sucking a Nuc reactor dry and proceeded to drown both of them in Tokyo bay.
