I have a 2001 Nissan Altima, and every so often i get a squeaking/rubbing noise (coming from the wheel/brakes area. Though it could have been the pad rubbing against the rotor, but when i got new brakes it did it again. This noise doesnt persist for long but ive have it happen at least 3 times in the past 6 months. Anyone have any ideas??

well if you are not using the proper shims ( anti squeek measures from the factory) it will cause problems. The anti squeek stuff they spray on wont help. On all the imports I ever did breaks on I only used factory pads to prevent this. But with it only doing it 3 times in 6 months you may be chasing a ghost. It could be anything in that area and asking if anyone else has had this problem doesnt help because everyone has had this problem and fixed it one way or another
