ok, so someone sent this to me

こんにちは、あなたは私を知らないかもしれません、
しかし、同様に私はjapaneseなのかどうか尋ね
るためにjapaneseでこれを書いています!


i dont know if iim right or not
but its something like

"hello, you may not know me but i am sending you this japanese writing to ask if you are japanese or not!"

i believe she used a free translation. . .
which is sorta irritating me
just because i AM japanese doesnt mean i know it

Yes, you're correct. I wouldn't have translated it as you did, but you have the overall meaning.
It doesn't look like a free translation thing to me.

EDIT: Japanese the language is nihongo, but the people (which is what the context of that text is) are called nihonjin. Many Japanese often use Japanese in English for some reason when talking to a foreign whom they suspect doesn't know the language too well. I suppose they think it helps you to understand?

That's a tough one. I tried in a short period to find a Yahoo link for you, but couldn't.

I found a link to a website for Blackberry users, if that will help.

For those who are about to leave an answer something to the effect that "It doesn't matter", you have to know that it does matter. These people will give me a bad rating for saying that, but it is true. - - The Japanese Characters need to be converted before you can read them.

I don't know Japanese so I Translate using http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr It's very helpful, just copy and paste that on their then choose japanese to english and it should come out an english form at the to.

i cant read japanese on this pc.
there are no japanese setting.
so i dont understand what she's saying.

but there are some mean japanese here.
i used to help somebody in here.
he always ask somebody check my homework or something like that....
i gave him answers at the beginning. but he ignor me suddenly. i ask him what's happen?
he said,
'i got e-mail from somebody, and she/he said askawow47 is not japanese. her grammer is not correct.'
hahahaha
he's high school student. i know he dont know who is right or not. because he dont understand japanese.
so you just ignor her, ok?
she doesnt have happy life. lots of stress or something...
you do your own study.
