My mother makes everything seem like its my fault?

I have a hard time dealing with my mother because she makes everything seem likes its my fault.

I know that I can not be wrong ALL of the time. We have never been close in a mother/ daughter sortof way.

What is the best thing to do except ignore her and not let what she says get into my head?

Remember the old in your head trick "no"? Apply it to situations where your feeling guilty because of something she or someone may have said. Instead of saying No say I can't be wrong all of at he time- I'm happy and no one is going to rain on my parade. Try it -it works.

I would say go to a therapist as well. It seems as though your mother is using the defense mechanism called projection where she is projecting the blame off of herself and onto you. I think it has to deal with insecurities on her part. She's not wanting to confront these insecurities and process them.

i have the same prob. except i talk to my mother and give her hugs all the time. we are very close, except, i am like a hipocrit, i am terrible, i will turn my back on her and get all mad. and i beleive that is why she blames everything on be because i am so confusing and rude to her. if u cant seem to talk to her about your problem like me, write her a letter, and she will read the words carefully and not speek until she understands your point, give her a gift and a hug, and i think she will understand and stop it.

maybe you should sit down and talk about everything with your mom and ask exactly what is that she wants. and tell her what you also expect from her!
