My fiancé is in the US Navy. He will be wearing his dress blues for our wedding. I wanted our colors to be pink and navy (because of his dress blues), but he told me that the dress blues are actually black. I know that a majority or guys are not good with colors. Are their dress blues actually blue, or are they really black???? Thanks

The dress blues are actually black. So he is right. The Navy has a million different costumes to wear. I have never understood that.

For all practical purposes, they are black. In reality, though, they are a very, very dark navy blue. If you look at them in the right light at the right angle, you will see this.

As for coordinating colors to match, consider them black.
