The vet told me to give him pepcid and hamburger and rice. I call another vet and he suggusted I bring him in and keep im there for FIVE days so he can run test. He still moves around he'll go out side to go to the bathroom and he'll walk around the house.

What do you feed your pup? Did your Vet run a blood panel to check for toxic substances that could be related to food? Are there any toxic plants in your yard or in your house that your pup might be chewing on? Hope you find out what is wrong.
Sometimes if the dog is sensitive to something in the dog food it can have problems like this. Try to get a brand that is an atypical meat source like Venison or Duck from a brand that has not been recalled. Nature's Recipe has some blends with venison and duck. Canidae is a good all life stages food for dogs. Some dogs react to wheat, corn, soy which are common in many different dog foods.
If you change your dogs diet, do it gradually and you can add a bit of pumpkin pie filling to the diet during this time because it helps to settle their stomach and stops diarrhea without constipating them.
Hope your pup feels better soon.

Surely there can be some middle ground here.
Obviously your puppy needs more testing. But perhaps not a 5 day stay. Get a third opinion. Ask a local Animal Shelter/Rescue service for recommendations or ask the dog breeder.
But three or four days isn't that big of a deal. My dogs have done that. I usually just put them on a bland diet (rice and ground turkey or hamburger), and give them some Pepto Bismol, and make sure she gets enough water, even if that means feeding her Pedialite.
Sometimes their digestive systems are irritated and they just need to take it easy for a few days.

I would definitely see another vet. Don't use the one that says he needs to keep the dog for 5 days before he has even seen the dog. Check around your area for different vets. I also would switch to boiled chicken and rice instead of the hamburger.

either find another vet or talk to your vet the parvo test are not the best they often come back incorrect.
If it isn't parvo what did the vet say and what was the treatment for the pup.
Please don't say the vet didn't do anything

parvo takes time to show up. it can be a false test. im not saying the vet did anything wrong. im just saying that parvo takes some time to show up and you should get your dog tested again. get your puppy parvo shots. here is a website just in case. it has info about parvo. www.workingdogs.com
i hope your puppy is okay. and i had a same situation except my puppy was very serious. she died next to me at night and it was soo heartbreaking. her stool was straight blood and she threw up blood. it was too late for her but not your dog. and thank you for getting a pit bull thousands and millions of pit bulls are euthanized. nobody wants them.

If hes tests came back OK, then maybe he has a blocked intestine. He could have ate something that he just can't digest and it has blocked the pathway. If he chews on things that he shouldn't it could be possible and he swallowed something. Take him to the vet and have them take an x-ray of his boules just to make sure he is not blocked.
Hope he feels better soon.

You should probably go back to the vet, and ask for a giardia test. Or at least medicine for the vommiting.
