I don't think there have been really big lies, except the following:
Satanic rituals in the Temples
Blood Atonement in the Temples
Confusion between the various Mormon-denominated sects, and people thinking that the LDS Church still authorizes polygamy.
Other than that, I would say that everything is pretty accurate, as long as it is based in fact and not opinion. For instance "Joseph Smith was a fraud" is a statement of opinion and cannot logically be classified as a lie, just as "Joseph Smith was a true prophet" is a statement of opinion and cannot be classified as truth or lie.
Many LDS people (see Chris above) are so oblivious to the dynamic nature of their church's doctrine and history that they don't know how to spot their own left hand when they see it. For instance, when LDS antagonists ask about Brigham Young's blood atonement policies, they quickly shoot from the hip and say "THAT'S A LIE," when really, it is based in truth, and all it takes is a little research on the matter to clarify a misconception that is based in truth.
I know about JS's public drunkenness, I know about the challenges and blunders on the early Utah frontier, I know about the doctrinal issues, I know about the historical inaccuracies, and I know about the embarrassments (both public and private) about the Church. The thing is, though, that since it can neither be proven nor disproven that the Church as a whole is true or false, I prefer to stick to what I feel in my heart, and follow what I feel to be the right path for me. I believe the Church is true, and I believe Joseph Smith was a true prophet, even though nobody but Joseph can truly say that they know. That is the beauty of religion; it allows people to realize how much we really don't know and to appreciate the grandeur of nature (or "creation" for those who believe such).

7 of 9, you said >How happy they claim to be, the church has so few miracles and no healings to claim of, just a testimony and a burning, and many prophecies, but not a lot of life in their walk with their god.<
a. I see a lot of non-LDS Christians who are very happy. Some who display the kind of "happiness" that only comes from either drug abuse or being brainwashed by evangelical preachers. And I see unhappy ones. (a member of my family, who is VERY Baptist has had a lot of stressful things in her life recently and she is just NOT a happy person right now).
b. What miracles and healings do you want to see? Do you ever read the Ensign/Liahona? They talk about these things all the time! Just because it doesn't happen in open church, or during televised sessions of General Conference, doesn't mean it never happens.
c. what sort of "life in their walk with God" do you want? Do you really know THAT many Mormons tat you can make this blanket statement about ALL of them?

This doesn't need to turn into a Mormons vs. R & S debate, so I hope it doesn't turn into one.
I've heard some pretty weird things about what we supposedly "believe" but I don't want to go into detail about them because, guessing from the title, you are referring to a question a couple of days ago when someone asked about why people lie concerning the LDS church.
The truth is, there are always inaccuracies and misconceptions that are mentioned of any faith or belief system out there, whether they are Mormon or not.

I have wanted to ask this same question. I believe they perceive something as a lie because it makes them feel sick inside. They will have a very hard time putting into words a valid reason that something is a lie since it isn't logic they are expressing. There are many truths in life that should make your tummy sick, but it only proves the kind of person you are not that the info is true or false.

I haven't been counting. I do see a problem when you and others say things about the Mormon church that are not true and if anyone tries to correct you, you don't seem to want to listen.

I doubt that the rank and file lds really consciously engage in deception or subterfuge during the course of their day.
Unfortunately, the leaders have gone on public record stating that it is perfectly noble to 'lie for the lord'.
Withholding important information until one is baptized such as the nature of god, Jesus, Kolob, and other 'deep doctrine' isn't 'lying' as much as it is similar to a bank making changes to your account without telling about all their 'policies'.
