A few Brooklyn buses go to Manhattan; more Brooklyn buses go to Queens. The subway is generally faster for interborough travel, and buses are intended to get you from the subway station to your specific destination within a borough. An exception are the "express" buses that run from certain distant neighborhoods into Manhattan during rush hour; they're more expensive than regular city buses, but by using the HOV lane on highways they can sometimes provide you with a very fast trip. On www.mta.info you can look at the Brooklyn Bus map and the subway map.

Brooklyn buses are really better for getting around Brooklyn or going between Brooklyn and Queens. The subway's a faster way to go if you want to go from Brooklyn to Manhattan. (Also, Brooklyn buses are rarely on schedule in my experience.)

Yes, most defiantly. You can tell where any particular bus came from by the letter prefix in front of the bus route number. For example if your in Queens and you see a bus with the number B58 you know the bus came from Brooklyn, or M for Manhattan, or BR for Bronx, or N for Nassau county Long Island, etc.

The quickest way is with the aid of subway. you will might desire to make your thank you to Delancey highway/Essex highway for the (F), and then take the (F) to Ditmas highway and walk some blocks east. in case you % to flow with the aid of bus in undemanding terms, you will might desire to take the M15 all the way down to Pearl highway/%. Slip, and then take the BM1, BM2, BM3, or BM4 to Cortelyou highway/Westminster highway. The fare is $6 once you employ a MetroCard.
