hi there first of all you cant wear these kinds of earings, i am the same way and i can only wear gold, or silver, platinum. That is it. Now for getting rid of the infections, buy some hydrogen peroxide, and put this on your ears 4 times a day with a saturated cotton ball. After that pat dry, and buy some polysporin(an antibiotic ointment,) then put it on your ear on both sides do this at least 3 times a day. It will probably take about 3 days, and it will almost be gone. BUT DON;T WEAR ANYMORE CHEAP EARINGS OR IT WON;T GO AWAY!! seriously you can;t wear those king at all , if you do, only for and hour or two but only after your ear is completley healed but you are better off saving your money and buy some silver earings or gold, and this will NEVER happen again

You probably have a metal allergy and the ear holes will not heal while you have cheap earrings in them. You must never again wear cheap earrings. They usually contain nickel and other metals that react in some peoples skin. If you hope to keep your holes from healing over you must immediately remove the trash earrings and try to gently replace them with only surgical quality steel or 14 k. minimum earrings. Clean your ear holes with Q-tips soaked in hydrogen peroxide. Use 2 q-tips per ear and wipe gently around the holes both front and back. Do Not reuse the Q-tip or re-enter it into the bottle. Do this cleaning 3 or 4 times a day. Next apply some antiseptic cream to the area. if the infection does not appear to quickly improve, or the area gets warm or you start to run a fever you will probably have to allow the holes to close up and you should see a doctor if there is pus coming out whether you can afford it or not. Unfortunately, infections in the face can do a lot of damage quickly so you are probably going to have to see a doctor.

HI ,
I used to pierce ears at Claires Boutique. What I use to tell people that would come in with infected ears would be to first find the earrings that you were pierced with ( if you still have them), clean them really good with earring cleaning solution that you can buy ( DON'T use alchohal or peroxide both will strip the metal from earrings), put neosporin on your earlobe front and back, insert the piercing studs. This should clear up the infection. Using the original studs will help to prevent your hole from closing. From now on use high quality gold, siver, platinum in your ears. My mother is very sensitive and she swears by her titanium earrings. She has had them in forever it seems like and they have never gotten infected. Good luck to you. If it doesn't get any better you may need to see your Dr. though.

This usually means that your ear might be allergic to the materials in the earring. You might want to try twisting the earring while it is still in your ear thus causing the blood flow to run through your ear making it less swollen and red. Try putting rubbing alchol on your ear and maybe some ice To help cease swelling. If this doesn't work take out the earring you might have one of the rare diseases that cause your ear to cover up scars easily meaning you have to stop wearing earrings pronto! I have had the same problem to trust me. What I'm telling you is probably no better than what a doctor will tell you since this is what my doctor told me when I had the same problem, and I'm still wearing earrings today!
Good Luck,
Grace

I have a son, Joey Niceforo, who is a young 27 year old tenor, with a group called "DESTINO" recording in Vancouver Bc, Canada.
For the last few weeks Joey has had a cold. Just a few days ago he developed an ear ache, a swollen ear and loss of hearing. He was diagnosed with serous otitis media (middle ear infection).
The major concern we have is that Joey and the Group DESTINO have been booked to open the Marie Osmond show in Disney World on April 3,
Have a quick remedy for our son??
Joey's ear got better just before flying.
He also got the special ear plugs for flying, and arrived in Florida, from Vancouver, on April 1st. On April 2nd he told us the ear was almost 100 percent, and he will, with the other, great DESTINO tenors be performing, in the COLORADO BALL ROOM DISNEY WORLD tonight at 7 pm.
This help was so effective, and helpful, to our young Canadian tenor, Joey Niceforo. I'm sure this input and therapy advice will, and has helped others.

From what it sounds like you are doing all the right things =) Water and salt will help. Pop the surgical steel earrings in because if it does turn out to be an infection you need to keep the holes open. Surgical steel is exactly what you should be wearing =) DO NOT use peroxide, this will make your ears worse. Do some chamomile tea soaks, this might help the bumps. (press a warm tea bag against your lobes). If the tea and sea salt doesn't help, visit your nearest piercer and they should be able to tell you what is wrong. (Visit your piercer before you visit a dr.)

RE:
How do I treat an ear infection from cheap earrings?
I bought these cheap, but cute earrings and I noticed that my earlobes were itching, turning red and even pussing. Please don't get grossed out. I need help because I'm in a new place with a new job which I don't get benefits until 90 days and it's expensive to get a doctor out...
