I seem to get ringworm every year in the same area around the same time (summer). It happens to be on the back of the thigh where the leg would rest on the toilet seat. (I know that this is where I had got it from first - public restroom/port-a-john YUCK) In the summer I get hot very easily which means I sweat very easily and profusely, (ever see NBA player Patrick Ewing sweat?) I sweat just walking in a parking lot from a store to my car during the summer. I am not over weight and the doc says it's normal. My theory is that whenever I sweat while sitting on a toilet, that this may cause the fungus to start and since I had in that area before, it may be a prone area??? Just a theory.

Have your doctor check your blood to see if you are getting a proper balance of vitamins. It seems as though your body is unable to fend off a common fungus infection. It could very well be diet related.

Buy a dandruff shampoo called Nizoral (drugstores or wal-mart). It has a powerful anti-fungal medication in it that gets rid of ringworm because ringworm is a type of fungus. It worked for me! It's about 10 dollars a bottle. Also, it's good to use because it also cleans the area since it contains soap. Plus, it is gentle and doesn't smell bad.
