1) It's not his to buy. He couldn't afford it anyway.
2) Memorize scripture. The process of "renewing your mind" drives all sorts of clutter and filth out. Part of your problem is that you are trying to get rid of a though instead of replacing it. Something's got to fill that void.
3) Go to God and ask Him to search your heart in regards to a even more serious question. "Am I truly a Christian?" Have you made Christ Lord of your life? If not you need to.
Jeus is the one who bought us with His own life. We used to belong to the devil before that.

BTW, Once you are bought with the blood of Christ you can not be taken from Him.

John 10:27-30
27My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[a]; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. 30I and the Father are one."

As a Christian, I am sure you are aware that the devil tempts us. The best answer I think is to assume you are "hearing" the "voice" of the devil. Repudiate him, stand up to him, don't be fearful. Ask God to take the fear out of your heart. If you do this, he won't bother you as often. When you know where it is coming from, this helps considerably. Just because you "hear" these thoughts, it does NOT mean that you have sold your soul to the devil, or even that you are about to do so.

Our salvation is assured. Jesus died for your sins. If you accept this, repent, and let Jesus be Saviour and Lord of your life, and take His sacrifice as the COMPLETE payment for your sins, you have nothing to fear. You are going to heaven, and you can take that promise to the bank.

I pray that you will soon be free of this obnoxious nuisance. The Devil can't hurt you. You are protected by God. That doesn't mean that you won't experience nuisances, but please keep in mind that's all they are. Don't give in to them. You'll be fine.

Dude I had the exact same problem! I started researching the supposed "roots" of Christianity which is suppose to be Judaism. I discovered that in Judaism God loves us & he knows we're HUMAN & stupid sh*t like this enters our mind. Trust me he can tell the difference. I don't know how old you are but I had this when I was 21. It stopped either b/c I got a busy & hecktic schedule so I focused on other things or it was b/c (around that same time I got that schedule) I bought & wear a scapular. When it first happened to me I didn't think anything of it but when it kept happening I sold my soul to God & Jesus immediatley.

To be honest, I think you are just stuck in repeating a familar thought pattern (like a catch phrase sort of). What you are complaining of is the psychological defintion of obsession: unwanted and uncontrolled recurring thought. I do not think there is anything wrong with you, you simply are stuck in a mode of thinking in much the same way that people get stuck in a mode of speaking (such as using the words "ain't", "like", "y'all", "cool", etc. without realizing it). Don't worry about it, kid. As long as you don't decide to search for the devil and barter with him personally over your soul, then you'll be fine (just stop reading The Devil and Daniel Webster).

Take the cross off.

There are no Christian symbols. God said not to make any likeness of things in heaven or on earth, or in the water under the earth. The devil is given authority over an image if we go against God and do what he said not to do. Sinning by wearing one gives the devil an opening into your life.

Don't toy with thoughts. Rebuke the devil when those thoughts come into your head.

I don't really know the answer but i do have a thought about it.
Maybe deep down inside you there are doubts that your church can not answer . I think you need to question yourself and your beliefs . If there are doubts then work out what they are , study the bible & pray for guidence to work them out.
Has i said just a thought i may be way off track

Perhaps your subconsciously beginning to realize that your belief system is a house of cards.

I can remember being about 12 when I started to realize this. I didn't think I would sell my soul for this or that, but my prayers were essentially threats -- God, I want X to happen or I am converting to another religion.

It is okay. No devil is going to show up to accept your offer. Take some time to think about your beliefs and do not be afraid if it leads you somewhere else.

Of course, if a devil should show up with a contract for your soul, run. :)

You can't sell your soul to the Devil. If you are a Christian, your soul has already been bought by the blood of Jesus Christ, and nothing can take it away from Him. If you're not really a Christian, God is far more powerful than the devil and can save you no matter how far you've gone.

You can't sell your soul. God is available to everyone and there is nothing you can do that God is not available but reject all truth. Which is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit but even this is not a simple thing one could do by mistake.

not meant to offend....but do you know for certain that your religion is of God? I am not saying that you yourself do not have a relationship with God....I am talking about what your church teaches and what it stands for. Do you study the Bible for yourself? Maybe God is trying to send you a message to keep you in the right path. Don't believe everything you hear...study for yourself. 2 Timothy 2:15 says to "STUDY to show THYSELF approved unto God..." If you truly want to follow God and know His will then ask Him and He will direct your path. I do believe He sends the Holy Spirit to our hearts and gives us messages. The way to know if your message is from God is to get into His Word.
Isa. 8:20 (this is your guide) "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."

I will pray that you will find truth. God bless
