Your dealing with a mystery that will never be resolved. Divine creation vs. Evolution. The church cant deny discovery of fossils(dinosaurs and ancient man), and scientists cant disprove Divine Creation(Adam and Eve). This will always be an unprovable answer or question. Maybe both are true. Did god make man and dinosaur together at one point in time? Did God eliminate all life and start again? This is something we will never know. Good point though, no mention of dinosaurs in the bible.

I think young people should respect their teachers. That said, some teachers are teaching things that are not true. Sometimes it's out of ignorance, and sometimes it is deliberate. You may be accepting the idea you have been taught that dinosaurs were here hundreds of thousands or millions of years before people. However, I want to urge you to question this idea. We know dinosaurs existed because we have found their fossils.
To give you the relatively short answer to your question, though, living dinosaurs exist today. The most obvious example is the Komodo Dragon. Second would be the Iguana. I would argue that all lizards are really examples of dinosaurs, but some are more obvious than others. There are also stories that tell of a huge beast in the jungles of Africa. We don't have any pictures, but the stories are remarkably consistent. We DO have recordings of the beast's roar, and I have heard a recording; it is a truly awesome sound, much more fearful than that of any large cat. Given the descriptions we have, it sounds like a dinosaur to me. In addition, many cultures have dragon myths. Given the universality of these myths, and the similarity in descriptions and art, it is reasonable to assume that people saw these beasts, and described them.
Recently, evidence of soft tissue that still exists, in fossil finds, has been found. Given that soft tissue would decay rapidly, this suggests that these animals died relatively recently. Evolutionists don't have any explanations for this.
The first link below is from a Christian perspective, and shows that Christians have no reason to deny the existence of dinosaurs. The second link concerns the Congo dinosaur, Mokele-mbembe.

The start of times happened when people arrived.
Dinosaurs didn't write books, take pictures, make paintings on the wall.
In the Bible on Day 5 the Bigger beasts of the Earth were created.
Man didn't come along til the end of day 6.
And we're not talking Earth days, becasue that didn't happen until day 4.
Day four, by the way, is 2/3 of the way from Creation on day one. Just like science says the formation of the Earth and Sun into what we know somewhat today occured 2/3 the way from Big Bang.
Big Bang, by the way, was postulated by a Catholic Priest.
But documentary history of MAN begins with MAN's ability to tell stories and write things down.
Show me some NEADERTHAL history written by NEADERTHALS
Go ahead
Show me a NEADERTHAL SCROLL, a NEADERTHAL TABLET
Some of the earliest writings come from Egyptians, you know the people that Moses had dealings with LONG after ADAM and EVE
Everything we know about dinosaurs is speculation.
NO ONE, I REPEAT NOT A SINGLE SCIENTIST can tell you authroitatively WHAT COLOR THE SKIN OF TERANTASAURS WAS
Because no one has found a fosslies one with skin.
No one has found a mumified one.
No one has found a drawing of one
It's all conjecture.
What skin color was "Lucy"
Was she black, brown, yellow, red or white.
All we know about "Lucy" is a few bones
Everything else is "artist's conception" of what they looked like.
You know like the artwork of Adam and Eve with belly buttons.
You draw what you know.
YOU nor SCIENCE can establish any INTELLENT thing prior to the earliest writings in China and Egypt.
Before that there was no communication, photography, artwork.
You and SCIENCE are putting a world together with colors and grith and size based on a smidgen of evendence.
You find a few bones and the next thing you know you have created this whole picture about the thing, but you've never seen it in person.
You're just guessing.
Let's play what if. What if the Earth was just veggetation and animals and some ALIEN RACE had a criminal problem and started dumping their CRIMINALS on this planet to solve their problem. And that is the ORIGINAL SIN
And Adam and Eve and all the rest are just a bunch of TRANSPLANTED criminals.
What if the Aliens come back and document it to us.
Do you know what that will do to SCIENCE and their SPECULATIONS. It will TOTALLY discredit science forever.
And there is REASONABLE evidence to support Aliens, such as the flat top pyramids, the drawings on the ground in South America that can ONLY be seen from space.
See science likes to discredit things. Like SETA, Search for Extra Tresstrial Life.
Even Carl Sagan, the great Cosmologist put forth IF WE ARE IT IN THE UNIVERSE it's an awful waste of space.
The truth of the matter is, there are a variety of views and SCIENCE wants to have a monoloply, dispite their flawed track record, like PLUTO. Planet or not.
Like the ATOM smallest particle or not.
If they ever discover the Tachyon then Einstein is in trouble.
Science has a view
Religions have views
OTher factions have views
The fact remains NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE

What makes you think that people were here from the start? The world is billions of years old, whereas man has only existed a small fraction of this. I think you are taking the Bible too literally and not putting it in context. The creation story tells the story of Adam and Eve, the first two people, but does it really mean the first humanoids ever on earth? Or does it just mean the first two in the line of the Hebrews? Or perhaps it is just an allegory of how the world came to be?
You don't have to give up your religious beliefs to accept science. The simple fact is that the Bible is a spiritual guide designed to express a brief history of the Hebrews and Christians, and to provide us with an understanding of our spiritual lives and to help us learn how to access God and his love. It is not a science textbook, and should not be used as a science textbook.

Science cannot acurately tell us what happened thousands or millions of years ago. Just because some scientists feel that dinosaurs didn't live at the same time as men, doesn't mean that it is true. The Bible even mentions something about the "behemoth" (or something like that.. Can't remember the exact term for it...) that wasn't allowed on the Ark... Couldn't that have been dinosaurs?

People are at or near the end of the evolutionary line, but many new things are being created or evolving into new things everyday. Some of the germs that were easily defeated by drugs soon become resistant. The germs have changed or evolved. Of the things that have lived on this earth, all but about 2% are now extinct.
The stories about Adam and Eve are just that ... stories. The seven days of creation could have been millions of years or all in just the blink of an eye if you want to believe that God waived his hand or blinked his eye and it just happened.
Man created God because he did not want to die. The link below is about Immortality. It is really good and worth reading.

Looks like you just joined the never-ending debate, called Creation vs Evolution. Read about it on the internet. There are hundreds of articles of people's opinions regarding this question. Many Christians, believe that Adam and Eve are really simbols for the start of humankind and that they were not real people. Other Christians disagree for several reasons.
You can read about this for interest, however I stopped. I'm one of those minority group of people who understand that the Bible is NOT a scientific handbook explaining HOW everthing was created. It is not the purpose of Genesis. Genesis focusses on WHY God created and His communication with His people.
Happy reading...

Some take the story of creation literally. If you do, and you believe that miracles are possible, then anything is possible. Who's to say that man wasn't created after the dinosaurs? Or perhaps man was isolated from the dinosaurs and protected.
Others interpret Genesis to be figurative. That they are stories to guide our morals. Through this belief we can learn from Genesis not about the physical, but rather the lessons and laws of God.

No. People have only been on the earth for about 8,000 years.
check out the ages of the patriarchs in Genesis chapter 5.
From Adam and Eve through to Noah.
Then cross reference the geneology of Jesus at Matthew chapter 1 and Luke chapter 3.
